The present application relates to the field of smart Rubik's cube technologies, and discloses an apparatus and a method for detecting a rotational state of a smart Rubik's cube. The apparatus includes a printed circuit board (PCB) assembly, a plurality of Hall sensors, and a central processing unit. The PCB assembly is disposed at a spherical core inside a Rubik's cube. The plurality of Hall sensors and the central processing unit are disposed at the PCB assembly. Positions of the plurality of Hall sensors correspond to Rubik's cube sides respectively. The central processing unit is connected to the plurality of Hall sensors. The present application implements non-contact detection of Rubik's cube state data, resolves a move-missing problem caused by physical wear and potential poor physical contact, and the detection precision is improved.

A smart magic cube with a ball shaft includes the ball shaft, six center blocks, eight corner blocks fitted with the center blocks, and twelve edge blocks fitted with the corner blocks and the center blocks. The center blocks are respectively arranged on a rotating shaft sensing assembly of the ball shaft. The smart magic cube with the ball shaft has a, clever design. Six printed circuit boards consist an electronic control system of the ball shaft. With each rotating shaft sensing assembly installed on each of the printed circuit boards, position sensing of the smart magic cube is accurate and a rate of lost steps of the smart magic cube is reduced. Further, the smart magic cube is not assembled by wire welding, has high integration, has a low cost, and is easy to assemble.

The tiles which can be fit on the logic cube, have indicia in well-defined positions and orientations such that the resulting solid is an exact but larger replica of the initial logic cube. The tiles are such that they can be easily fit or removed, and do not fall off with the movement of the logic cube. They also do not obstruct the functionality of the logic cube. Other geometric shapes such as tetrahedron and dodecahedron and sizes other than 333 may be used.
