Cases, devices, and methods for protecting and holding portable handheld devices, such as cell phones and smart phones, in separate protective cases having outwardly extending resilient bumper corner eye lit rings which cushion the case and function as bumpers when the portable electronics device are dropped. The outwardly extending bumpers/eye lit rings can also support lanyards and keychain rings, and the like, so that the cases with portable electronics devices can be easily and safely held in one's finger, about their wrist, or on their neck. A central ring can be formed from an upper middle portion of the case for allowing the forefinger of a user to be inserted therein with the back of the hand supporting the case, and the lanyard wrapped about the user's wrist. The novel cases can also be used to safely protect other types of portable electronic devices, such as tablets and laptop computers, and the like, in similar manners. Portable electronic device housings can be initially manufactured and built with the outwardly extending resilient rings offering safe protection from being dropped and for being held, carried or worn.

Personal Hydration Device

A hydration device has a flexible bladder constructed to have a plurality of expandable liquid receiving chambers that extend laterally across the width of the bladder and are spaced from one another along the length of the bladder. Liquid conveying tubes are in fluidic communication with liquid chambers. A coupling is fluidically connected to the tubes and includes a valve that operates to seal the coupling from the tubes. A drinking tube has a first end that is fluidically connected to the coupling thereby establishing a fluidic connection between the drinking tube and the tubes. A bite valve is connected to a second end of the drinking tube and is operable to allow a user to drink liquid from the chambers. The drinking tube may be secured to a user's wrist by a wrist strap.

A two-piece mobile device holder having a case assembly and a mounting assembly is disclosed. The case assembly is configured to receive and secure a mobile device such as a smart phone. The mounting assembly is configured to be detachably coupled to other objects. Sets of permanent magnets are arranged in a circular pattern in the case assembly and the mounting assembly. The magnets in both the first and second set of magnets are arranged with alternating magnetic polarity. As the case assembly is placed on top of the mounting assembly, the magnets in the mounting assembly will attract magnets with opposite polarities in the case assembly. A user may detach the case assembly from the mounting assembly by rotating the case assembly such that the magnets in the case assembly are now adjacent to magnets in the mounting assembly of the same polarity.

Activity powered band device

An embodiment provides a band, including: an energy harvesting mechanism that stores energy in response to deformation of the band; a device; and a connection coupling the stored energy of the band to the device. In an embodiment, a force is applied to deform a deformable band along a length dimension of the deformable band. The force acts to move an energy harvesting mechanism of the deformable band such that the energy harvesting mechanism transforms deformation of the deformable band into stored energy. The stored energy may be used, e.g., to collect information using a sensor of said deformable band. Other aspects are described and claimed.

A retractable fitness towel holder includes an elongated flexible band for looping around a user's arm. A frame disposed on the band is held against the user's arm with a loop portion extending away from the user's arm. A retracting mechanism is biased to retract a cord coupled to the towel, and the towel is retractably suspended from the towel channel such that it extends through the loop portion and away from the holder. Pulling the towel through the loop portion and away from the frame, causes the cord to unspool from the retracting mechanism, and releasing the towel causes the retracting mechanism to re-spool the cord, thereby drawing the towel back through the loop portion to rest against the frame, holding the towel in place during exercise.
