A carabiner for carrying equipment is disclosed. The carabiner includes a hook assembly including a generally C-shaped body having an opening which is closed by an openable gate. It further includes a mounting assembly, which includes a mounting boss to which the body is releasably connected, and one or more fasteners to connect the mounting boss to a base component. The mounting boss may include a bore through which the body passes, the body being a close fit in the bore, such that the body can pivot respect to the boss about an axis of the bore. Control components may be provided that serve to resist movement of the body within the bore. The carabiner may be installed in a harness, by connecting the base to a component of the harness for example by passing a fastener through a hole in the component.

A retainer operable to hold a race number bib includes a front panel and a rear panel joined by an elbow and with a latch. One or more lateral projections is provided on the retainer to allow a user to open or close the retainer. Internal projections may provide gripping surfaces, and in some cases they extend through holes formed in one of the panels. A belt hook may be provided to secure a retainer to a belt.

A retainer operable to hold a race number bib includes a front panel and a rear panel joined by an elbow and with a latch. One or more lateral projections is provided on the retainer to allow a user to open or close the retainer. Internal projections may provide gripping surfaces, and in some cases they extend through holes formed in one of the panels. A belt hook may be provided to secure a retainer to a belt.

An attachment apparatus for selectively attaching a device to a flexible material, includes a first member, a second member, and a void. The first member has a first wall defining a first opening. The first member includes a first retention feature. The second member has a second retention feature selectively attached to the first retention feature in an attached state to connect the second member to the first member and to the flexible material. The void is formed between the second surface of the first wall and the flexible material when the second member is in the attached state. The first member is operable to support the device within the void between the second surface of the first member and the flexible material when the second member is in the attached state.

An attachment apparatus for selectively attaching a device to a flexible material, includes a first member, a second member, and a void. The first member has a first wall defining a first opening. The first member includes a first retention feature. The second member has a second retention feature selectively attached to the first retention feature in an attached state to connect the second member to the first member and to the flexible material. The void is formed between the second surface of the first wall and the flexible material when the second member is in the attached state. The first member is operable to support the device within the void between the second surface of the first member and the flexible material when the second member is in the attached state.

A coupler for coupling to a provided article of wear comprises a base plate and a clip. The coupler may be configured to provide a mount interface on an article of wear for an accessory to mount to. The base plate may comprise one or more structures configured to engage one or more respective portions of the clip over the provided article of wear. The clip may be shaped to interlock with the structures of the base plate. The clip may engage the base plate in a series of actions. The series of actions may be repeated in reverse to disengage the clip from the base plate. The series of actions for disengaging the clip from the base plate may reduce a likelihood of the clip in being unintentionally decoupled from the base plate, thereby increasing a likelihood that the coupler remains coupled to an article of wear.

A coupler for coupling to a provided article of wear comprises a base plate and a clip. The coupler may be configured to provide a mount interface on an article of wear for an accessory to mount to. The base plate may comprise one or more structures configured to engage one or more respective portions of the clip over the provided article of wear. The clip may be shaped to interlock with the structures of the base plate. The clip may engage the base plate in a series of actions. An ergonomic duty belt assembly comprising: a longitudinally and laterally flexible inner belt having an exterior face provided with a hook and loop fabric; a longitudinally and laterally flexible supporting belt adapted to be affixed over said inner belt having an interior face provided with mating hook and loop fabric; a base material of each of said inner belt, said supporting belt, said hook and loop fabric and said mating hook and loop fabric being woven with a material having elasticity properties, thus providing longitudinal and lateral flexibility of said duty belt assembly; said outer belt being removably mountable to said inner belt, said hook and loop fabric on said inner belt being adapted to be affixed to said mating hook and loop fabric of said supporting belt.

An ergonomic duty belt assembly comprising: a longitudinally and laterally flexible inner belt having an exterior face provided with a hook and loop fabric; a longitudinally and laterally flexible supporting belt adapted to be affixed over said inner belt having an interior face provided with mating hook and loop fabric; a base material of each of said inner belt, said supporting belt, said hook and loop fabric and said mating hook and loop fabric being woven with a material having elasticity properties, thus providing longitudinal and lateral flexibility of said duty belt assembly; said outer belt being removably mountable to said inner belt, said hook and loop fabric on said inner belt being adapted to be affixed to said mating hook and loop fabric of said supporting belt.

First-aid systems having an ultra compact first-aid pouch configured to fit behind the ballistic plates of a protective vest are disclosed. In this configuration, the first-aid kit is protected from shrapnel and tearing, is easily locatable and removable and does not effect the user's freedom of movement. When the first-aid pouch is removed from its protected location, it presents the first-aid equipment in a logical and easily viewable manner.
