Additionally, the mower deck may include a selectively removable secondary front baffle configured to block the flow of clippings through the side-discharge opening and direct the flow of clippings toward the rear-discharge opening. The mower deck may also include at least one selectively removable rear baffle, wherein the at least one selectively removable rear baffle is configured to at least partially block the rear-discharge opening.

A flange encloses lateral sides of the cutting chamber to prevent discharge of debris laterally. A cutting deck for housing first and second cutting blades rotatable inside a cutting chamber is provided. The cutting deck includes a weldment including a top plate and side plates. The top plate includes first and second shaft reception orifices, and a flow control assembly extending away from the top plate to define an airflow channel between the flow control assembly and the side plates. The flow control assembly includes a first directional changing portion proximate to the first shaft reception orifice and a second directional changing portion proximate to the second shaft reception orifice. The first and second directional changing portions are separated from each other by straight portions. The first and second directional changing portions are passed over only by respective ones of the first and second cutting blades, and both the first and second cutting blades pass over the straight portions.

Mulch kit control lever

A mulch kit control lever includes a handle pivotably mounted to a support plate with a tension spring connecting the handle to the support plate and urging the handle to pivot to either a mulching position or a side discharge position relative to the support plate. The tension spring is connected before the mulch kit control lever is installed on the mower deck. A retainer slides in a slot in one of the support plate and the handle preventing over-travel of the handle past the mulching position and the side discharge position.

The present disclosure relates to a lawnmower for processing lawn surface. The lawn mower comprises a chassis, at least partially carried by a set of wheels adapted to rest on the lawn surface, and one or more cutting devices suspended by the chassis. An outer cover, enclosing the chassis and is open towards the lawn surface to form an enclosed space between the outer cover and the lawn surface. A divider plate divides the enclosed space into an upper space and a cutting space, the divider plate generally extending along a plane that is approximately parallel with the lawn surface. The cutting device projects through an opening in the divider plate and edges of the divider plate are connected to the outer cover.

The chute extends rearward with an upward slant, and is bent in side view in such a manner that a lower part has a steeper incline than an upper part thereof.

The rear vacuum plate includes a plurality of arcuate portions formed arcuate to extend along the respective rotational locus circles of the blades and a convexly curved portion curved to extend into a triangular gap portion formed between two adjacent rotational locus circles, the convex curved portion bridging opposed ends of two adjacent arcuate portions. The convexly curved portion and the arcuate portions are connected to maintain a continuous curve.
