A helmet visor system may include a helmet shaped to accommodate a headset, a visor lens and a visor apparatus to pivotally move the visor lens between a stored position and a deployed position. The deployed position may be defined as a majority of the visor lens being extended from the helmet, and the stored position may be defined as the majority of the visor lens being occluded by the helmet within an interior of the helmet. The visor lens may be pivotally moveable between the stored position and the deployed position so as not to interfere with the headset.

A helmet for a rider of an on-road or off-road vehicle protects the rider's head. The helmet also may include various features for enhancing the riding experience. The helmet may also include a chin bar that is slidable and rotatable relative to the shell. Additionally, the helmet may include a peak that provides for toolless adjustment of position of the peak relative to the shell. An inner construction provides a multi-layer system in which at least one layer is an impact layer.
