A single serve pod system, a single serve pod assembly system, a single serve pod, a reusable pod apparatus, a process of assembling the single serve pod, and methods of use are presented. More specifically, and without limitation, the present disclosure relates to preparation of a single serve pod in accordance with brewing coffee, tea, and/or other brewing.

A brewing device for a machine for preparing beverages like coffee or tea has a brewing chamber with a longitudinal axis, a frame having two walls arranged on opposite sides of the brewing chamber, and a fastening device. The fastening device is configured to releasably couple the brewing device to a support body in the beverage preparation machine and includes a lever release device hinged to the frame to rotate about an axis transverse to the longitudinal axis between a normal coupling position, in which the lever release device stably holds the brewing device on the support body, and a release position, in which the lever release device allows the brewing device to be released from, or mounted on, the support body.

A brewer for a coffee machine. The brewer includes a brewing chamber and an inlet opening for receiving ground coffee in the brewing chamber, an outlet opening for disposal of a substance from the brewing chamber. The brewer also includes a piston for tamping the ground coffee that, when looking from top to bottom in the brewing chamber, includes a closed frontal pressing surface that is straight at least in its upper quarter and gradually inclines forward upon approaching the bottom of the brewing chamber, allowing the pressing action of the piston on the ground coffee to be initiated sooner and more severe near to the bottom than near to the top of the brewing chamber.

The invention concerns a full automatic coffee machine (100) comprising: a brewing chamber (1), an upper piston (2), a lower piston (3) movable inside said brewing chamber (1), wherein the brewing chamber and/or the upper piston are relatively movable between a first closed position configured for compacting coffee during brewing and the second closed position is configured for not compacting coffee during brewing, a pressurized hot water fluid system comprising at least a water supply (101), a water heating device (104) and a water pump (102) wherein said system is connected to the water inlet (13) of the coffee extraction unit, wherein the fluid supply system comprises a pressure bypass valve (107) downstream the water pump and wherein the predetermined threshold pressure of the fluid dispensed by said pressure bypass valve is adjustable, and wherein the full automatic coffee machine comprises a control system configured: to move the brewing chamber and/or the upper piston to the first closed position or to the second position for brewing coffee powder, and to adjust the predetermined threshold pressure of the fluid dispensed by the pressure bypass valve to a first predetermined threshold pressure, respectively to a second predetermined threshold pressure, when the brewing chamber and/or the upper piston is moved to the first closed position, respectively to the second position.

A coffee machine including a machine unit with a brewing piston which is movably mounted between an initial position and a brewing position, with a piston drive which can be controlled via the control device, for moving the brewing piston from the initial position into the brewing position, with a water preparation device with a water tank, a water pump and a heating unit, for generating and delivering hot brewing water under pressure into a brewing chamber as well as with a control device for the control of the coffee machine. The coffee machine includes a locking device with at least one locking body for locking the brewing piston in the brewing position.

A coffee brewing mechanism includes a brewing module having a swing arm, a pot and a driving assembly. The pot is connected to the swing arm and is operable to swing back and forth between an ascending position and a press-down position. The driver assembly includes a link rod and a driving member, wherein one end of the link rod is connected to the swing arm and the other end is provided with a follower.
