A mold insert and an injection-molding machine including the mold insert. The mold insert has at least one filament cavity and a stack of at least a first and second insert plates, wherein the first plate has a front face that closely abuts a front face of the second insert plate. A portion of the a filament cavity is provided in at least one of the front faces of the first and second insert plates such that the filament cavity is open at a top surface of the mold insert but does not extend to a bottom surface of the mold insert. A venting cavity is provided in the same front face of the insert plate in which the portion of the at least one filament cavity is provided.
COSMETIC APPLICATOR
An applicator for applying a cosmetic composition to the eyelashes or eyebrows including a core, at least one element attached to the core, each element including a central part fitted onto the core and at least one application member carried by the central part, this application member being hollow and comprising at least one cavity passing through it in one direction and having a closed or almost closed contour when viewed in this direction, and/or at least two adjacent application members forming at least one almost closed cavity between one another.
Oral care implement or head plate therefor and method of forming the same
A method of forming an oral care implement, a method of forming a head plate for an oral care implement, and an oral care implement or head plate formed therefrom. The head plate may have micro-sized or fine features. The method may include providing an amount of a first solid material upstream of a first mold cavity; prior to the first solid material entering the first mold cavity, applying ultrasonic energy to the first solid material to melt the first solid material into a first molten material; flowing the first molten material into the first mold cavity; allowing the first molten material to harden within the first mold cavity to form a head plate comprising micro-sized features; forming a body from a second material, the body including a handle portion and a head portion; and coupling the head plate to the head portion of the body.
IMPROVED APPLICATION DEVICE FOR A FLUID OR PASTY PRODUCT
The application device for applying a fluid product to keratin fibres comprises a plurality of spikes, distributed over an elongate core extending along a longitudinal axis X, each spike comprising a first stage extending from an anchoring end anchored in the core towards an intermediate section and a second stage extending from the intermediate section towards a free end, and comprising a joint face parallel to the longitudinal axis X, an intermediate point, the middle of a segment of intersection between the joint face and the intermediate section, included in a first half-disc (D1) of radius R1, a segment of which forming a diametral edge is parallel to the longitudinal axis X and lies on a plane parallel to a radial plane comprising the longitudinal axis X and an apical point, the middle of a segment of intersection of the joint face and a section of the free end, included in a second half-disc (D2) of radius R2, a segment of which forming a diametral edge is parallel to the longitudinal axis X and lies on a plane parallel to the radial plane comprising the longitudinal axis X.
INTERDENTAL CLEANING TOOL
An interdental cleaning tool includes a base portion including a shaft portion having a shape insertable in an interdental space, a top end side cleaning portion including a top end side body covering a top end side portion of the shaft portion, and a plurality of top end side bristles protruding outward from an outer circumferential surface of the top end side body, and a base end side cleaning portion including a base end side body covering a portion of the shaft portion further in a base end side than the top end side body, and a plurality of base end side bristles protruding outward from an outer circumferential surface of the base end side body. The top end side cleaning portion has a lower hardness than the base end side cleaning portion.
Oral care implement
An oral care implement (100) having a head (120). The head (120) has a support structure (130) and a monolithic cleaning unit (140) that is coupled to the support structure (130). The head (120) has a side surface (123) that includes a first lateral portion (124) and a second lateral portion (125). The monolithic cleaning unit (140) includes a base portion (141) that is coupled to the support structure (130) and a plurality of bristles (150) extending from the base portion (141). The plurality of bristles (150) include a plurality of first peripheral bristles (171) positioned adjacent to the first lateral portion (124) of the head (120), a plurality of second peripheral bristles (172) positioned adjacent to the second lateral portion (125) of the head (120), and a plurality of central bristles (175). The first and second peripheral bristles (171,172) all extend obliquely from the front surface (121) of the head (120) and the central bristles (175) extend perpendicularly from the front surface (121) of the head (120).
Method of making a unitary brush head and unitary toothbrush head
A toothbrush comprised at least one unitary brush head having a base and at least one filament and extending therefrom and having a free end terminating with a tip, wherein the filament has a length of from 6.0 mm to 20.0 mm between the base and the free end, and wherein the unitary brush head is made from a plastic material that has a melt flow rate of not greater than about 30 g/10 min measured in accordance with ISO 1133.
Hair straightening brush
The disclosed subject matter is directed to a hairbrush. The hairbrush comprises a plurality of heating elements protruding from a face of the brush, the heating elements defining a hair treating area. The hairbrush further comprises a plurality of self-adjustable spacers projecting from at least some of the heating elements and configured for axial displacement relative to said at least some heating elements between a projecting position and a retracted position, wherein at the retracted position the at least some spacers are partially retracted into respective heating element maintaining a space between a tip of the heating elements and the scalp, and wherein the spacers are self-adjusting to the contour of a users' scalp.
