APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR CLEANING A SURFACE
A method of cleaning a surface includes steps of (1) positioning a brush in contact with the surface; (2) rotating the brush relative to a drum about a second axis; and (3) rotating the drum relative to a bracket, supporting the drum, about a first axis, parallel to the second axis, such that the brush orbitally revolves about the first axis.
Method of making a unitary brush head and unitary toothbrush head
A method of manufacturing a unitary toothbrush head having a base and filaments extending therefrom. The method includes steps of injecting molten plastic material into a mold cavity having a pre-base cavity and a filament cavity extending therefrom; compressing the molten plastic material, once it is essentially filling the pre-base cavity, by impressing a punching tool into the molten plastic material from the rear side of the pre-base cavity being opposite to a side from which the filament cavity extends; and filling the filament cavity with the molten plastic material under the continuous impression of the punching tool.
Application element for an applicator
An application element and an applicator comprising pluralities of said application elements on a molded support is provided for applying a product such as a cosmetic, a medicinal or a care product. At least one application element of the applicator includes a base portion and at least one thin projection. The thin projection includes at least one surface and wherein the at least one outer surface flushes with at least a portion of an outer surface of the base portion.

APPARATUS AND METHOD OF TREATING BLEPHARITIS, MEIBOMIAN GLAND DYSFUNCTION AND DRY EYE DISEASE
An apparatus and method are provided for treating blepharitis, MGD and DED. The apparatus is self-administered for removing debris from an eyelid. The apparatus includes bristles and a pair of pads formed within the apparatus and specifically within an eyelid contact region. When self-compressed against the eyelid of the user, the user can self-treat the eyelid border by exfoliating the meibomian glands to promote the clear flow of meibum onto the eye.
Base portion, inter-dental cleaning tool, and method of manufacturing inter-dental cleaning tool
[Problem] To provide a base part, an interdental cleaning tool, and a method for manufacturing the interdental cleaning tool, capable of preventing bending of a shaft part when a resin material is filled from an insertion end. [Solution] A base part includes a shaft part (20) and a grip part (30). The base part is used for forming an interdental cleaning tool by filling, inside a metal mold having a shape that forms a filling space around the shaft part (20), a resin material into the filling space with the shaft part (20) clamped by a holding pin. The shaft part (20) includes a first guide groove (24) formed on one side with respect to an axially parallel plane and a second guide groove (26) formed on the other side with respect to the axially parallel plane. The first guide groove (24) and the second guide groove (26) extend in the axial direction from an insertion end (22a) toward a base end and have a shape recessed toward the center of the shaft part (20) from the outer peripheral face of a region other than the first guide groove (24) and the second guide groove (26) in the shaft part (20).
Children's finger toothbrush with bite protection and tactile feedback
An outer elastomeric layer forms a nonogonal-shaped hollow tube for a finger toothbrush to be used by an adult caregiver to brush a child's teeth. The toothbrush has a first, rigid portion with a rigid inner lining configured to receive a middle phalange of the caregiver's finger and a second, flexible portion configured to receive a distal phalange of the caregiver's finger. The rigid inner lining may further comprise extensions and depressions to spread the pressure from a child's bite. The second, flexible portion may allow for better tactile response when the toothbrush is in the mouth of a child.
Apparatuses for cleaning a surface
An apparatus for cleaning a surface comprises a bracket and a drum, coupled to the bracket and rotatable relative to the bracket about a first axis. The apparatus further comprises a brush motor, mounted to the drum, and a brush, rotatable by the brush motor relative to the drum about a second axis, parallel to the first axis.
Oral care mouthpiece with oral care elements
This disclosure relates to oral care appliances and methods of forming oral care appliances. A disclosed oral care mouthpiece includes a flexible membrane and a set of oral care elements attached to the flexible membrane. The set of oral care elements have a composition with a hardness of at least 50 Shore Type A (shA). Each oral care elements in the set of oral care elements has a minimum stiffness value higher than 410.sup.8 newton meters and lower than 610.sup.3 newton meters. The stiffness value and hardness of the oral care elements are both critical values for the disclosed appliances and methods. The stiffness value can be expressed as the product of the Young modulus of the oral care element and the moment of inertia of the oral care element divided by the length of the oral care element.
METHOD OF MAKING A UNITARY BRUSH HEAD AND UNITARY TOOTHBRUSH HEAD
A toothbrush comprised at least one unitary brush head having a base and at least one filament and extending therefrom and having a free end terminating with a tip, wherein the filament has a length of from 6.0 mm to 20.0 mm between the base and the free end, and wherein the unitary brush head is made from a plastic material that has a melt flow rate of not greater than about 30 g/10 min measured in accordance with ISO 1133.
