A system for attaching a blender container to a blade assembly, which comprises a first mechanism to secure a blender container to a blade assembly. Some embodiments of the system include a second latch mechanism to lock the blender container to the blade assembly while the container and blade assembly are mounted to a base for operation of the blender.

Apparatus and method for blender system with mid-cycle inversion

A system includes a container platform configured to receive a container, a blade assembly and a blade actuator for rotating blades of the blade assembly, a blade platform, and a platform actuator for moving the blade platform between a blade engagement position and a container engagement position. A processor is configured to cause the platform actuator to move the blade platform, prior to a first actuation of the blade actuator, from the container engagement position to the blade engagement position, to cause the first actuation, to cause the platform actuator to move the blade platform towards the container engagement position, to cause the blade platform to return to the blade engagement position, to cause a second actuation of the blade actuator, and to cause the platform actuator to return the blade platform to the container engagement position subsequent to the second actuation.

MAGNETIC COMPASS INTERLOCK VESSEL DETECTION AND VESSEL RECOGNITION DEVICE

A food processing appliance includes a base configured to selectively receive a plurality of vessel types. At least one of the plurality of vessel types includes a first magnetic key that includes at least one magnet disposed in a first arrangement of magnets along at least two axes. A magnetic compass assembly that is located on the base is configured to detect a reading that includes a presence and location of magnets on the at least two axes. The food processing appliance also includes a processor and a memory. The memory includes instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to receive the reading from the magnetic compass assembly and identify the at least one vessel type from the plurality of vessel types based on the first arrangement of the at least one magnet.
