A method and device for attaching and detaching material to a c-channel groove, including attachment and detachment between first and second objects already attached to the groove. The device comprises a coil-shaped element that is resiliently compressible and connected to a desired material. Through biasing, the coil-shaped element is navigable into an aperture of the c-channel groove at a point along the c-channel groove between the ends of the c-channel groove and positionable such that at least a portion of the biased coil-shaped element is in the c-channel groove. Upon restoring the biased coil-shaped element toward a second, larger dimension, it is secured in the c-channel groove and the material connected to the coil-shaped element is attached to the c-channel groove, including between the first object and the second object, if present.

A method and device for attaching and detaching material to a c-channel groove without requiring tools and without needing to access an end of the c-channel. The device comprises a coil-shaped element that is resiliently compressible and connected to a desired material. Through biasing or twisting the coil-shaped element, it is insertable at any point along a c-channel groove. A cosmetic brush is provided that is capable of enhancing an ability to retain a liquid cosmetic material and making fine adjustment to the eyelashes easier. The cosmetic brush comprises a core wire part and a bristle group radially attached to the core wire part around an axis of the core wire part continuously in a helical state in an axial direction of the core wire part. The bristle group has bristles each constituted by integrating a basic fiber made up of a plurality of bundled constituent fibers and a wound fiber helically wound around an outer circumferential surface of the basic fiber.

A frayed cable scaling tool is made by fraying the end of a cable so that it forms a wire brush. A collar or other way of keeping the cable from unraveling too much is necessary. When powered by a pneumatic saw power tool, the scaling tool is very effective at removing scale, rust, carbon, or other debris. The flexibility of the cable allows the frayed end of the cable to move vigorously in a random motion, which is effective for scrubbing. For some applications, it is preferred to enclose the cable and/or the collar in a guide tube.
