An oral care implement used for treatment of a user's oral cavity. The oral care implement may include a body having a longitudinal axis, a first hard plastic component, and a second hard plastic component. The first hard plastic component may have a front surface having a perimeter portion and a central portion that is surrounded by the perimeter portion, the central portion being recessed relative to the perimeter portion. The second hard plastic component may be positioned on the central portion of the first hard plastic component and surrounded by the perimeter portion of the first hard plastic component. The second hard plastic component may have an outer surface with a plurality of grooves that are elongated in a direction of the longitudinal axis.

Described herein is an oral care implement comprising a body having a head portion, a gripping portion, and a neck portion located between the head and gripping portions, a plurality of tooth engaging elements extending from the head portion, the body comprising a first component formed of a first hard plastic having a first ductility; and a second component formed of a second hard plastic having a second ductility that is greater than the first ductility.

A hair brush for use with a person's head of hair is described in this disclosure. The hair brush illustratively includes a handle and a brush head with bristles that extend out from a hair-shaping guide.

An oral care implement comprises a head and a handle, the head being repeatedly attachable to and detachable from the handle. The head is at least partially made from a material having a density from about 0.5 g/cm.sup.3 to about 1.2 g/cm.sup.3, while the handle is at least partially made from a material having a density from about 2.1 g/cm.sup.3 to about 3.1 g/cm.sup.3.

A hair brush adapted to impart both a straightening effect and a curling effect on a length of hair includes first and second members. The first member includes a first handle and a first brush head having an inner row of centrally disposed primary teeth, an outer row of bristles mounted on each side of the centrally disposed primary teeth, and a thermal conductive element. The thermal conductive element defines an arcuate surface configured for imparting a curl within a lock of hair. The second member includes a second handle, a second brush head having a second head frame defining a longitudinal channel, and an elongate member having a wiper segment disposed on each side of the longitudinal channel, and configured to engage the length of hair to facilitate one of straightening of the length of hair or removing substances from the length of hair.

A multi-component quick assembly handle includes a first tubular member made of a permanently deformable material and having a first end permanently formed with a predetermined diameter (x) and connecting to a second end forming a remaining portion of said first tubular member of a smaller diameter (xa), a second tubular member made of a permanently deformable material having a first end with a predetermined diameter (x) and connecting a second end having a larger diameter (x+b) and an inner diameter (y) to complementary receive by way of a friction fit said second end of said first tubular member. A method of forming multi-component quick assembly handle employs male and female tools to accomplish this.

A brush for a sonic toothbrush with longitudinal axis vibration having an elongated base body has a frustoconical base portion with a drive adapter for rotation-fixed coupling to a sonic toothbrush drive with longitudinal axis vibration, and a head portion with a bristle support in which a plurality of bristles are anchored, and an elongated neck portion connecting the base portion and the head portion is disclosed. The base body forms a kink angle in that a geometric base portion longitudinal axis and a geometric head portion alignment axis include an angle ? in the range of 5? to 12?. A geometric kink position in the base body has a distance from an end face of the base portion of at least 50% of a total length of the base body.
