ADJUSTABLE MAGNETIC DEVICES AND METHODS OF USING SAME
A system includes a first pedicle screw, a second pedicle screw, and an adjustable rod having an outer housing coupled to one of the first pedicle screw and the second pedicle screw, the outer housing having a threaded shaft secured to one end thereof extending along an interior portion thereof. The system farther includes a hollow magnetic assembly disposed within the outer housing and having a magnetic element disposed therein, the hollow magnetic assembly having an internal threaded surface engaged with the threaded shaft, the magnetic assembly being coupled to the other of the first pedicle screw and the second pedicle screw, wherein the hollow magnetic assembly rotates in response to an externally applied magnetic field to thereby lengthen or shorten the distance between the first pedicle screw and the second pedicle screw.
The system further includes a hollow magnetic assembly disposed within the outer housing and having a magnetic element disposed therein, the hollow magnetic assembly having an internal threaded surface engaged with the threaded shaft, the magnetic assembly being coupled to the other of the first pedicle screw and the second pedicle screw, wherein the hollow magnetic assembly rotates in response to an externally applied magnetic field to thereby lengthen or shorten the distance between the first pedicle screw and the second pedicle screw.
Pedicle screw
A pedicle screw is provided. The pedicle screw includes a threaded shaft portion and a head portion that is supported on the threaded shaft portion for pivoting movement relative to the threaded shaft portion. A yoke portion is supported on the head portion for linear sliding movement relative to the head portion.
TRANSVERSE SHIFT SCREW TAIL, TRANSVERSE ADJUSTABLE SPINAL SCREW, AND IMPLANTATION METHOD
A transverse shift screw tail, a transverse adjustable spinal screw, and an implantation method. The screw comprises a screw tail and a screw seat, the screw seat has a rod groove used for placing a connecting rod, which is recessed downwards from the top of the screw seat and radially penetrates the screw seat, a bottom of the rod groove is a curved surface adapted to an outer circumferential surface of the connecting rod, and the rod groove is provided with a locking thread fit with a locking bolt. The screw tail comprises a fixing column capable of being screwed into a vertebral body and a platform located at an end portion of the fixing column, the platform is provided with the installation head used for connecting with the screw seat, and an eccentric distance is provided between a center of the installation head and an axis of the fixing column.
SPINAL STABILIZING AND GUIDING FIXATION SYSTEM
A system to stabilize and guide the growth of the spinal column includes an elongated support member having a width and a length and a guiding connector having a bone connecting portion and a guiding portion. The bone connecting portion secures the guiding connector to a vertebrae and the guiding portion has a bearing element with a passageway adapted to receive the elongated support member. The bearing element permits relative sliding movement of the elongated support element in the passageway of the bearing element. The system may further include a bone fixation element has an elongated support member receiving channel, a locking mechanism and a bone anchoring portion. The bone anchoring portion secures the bone fixation element to bone. The locking mechanism secures the elongated support member in the channel. The guiding connector is moveable along the elongated support member to permit and control the growth of the spinal column along a predetermined path.

A system includes a first pedicle screw, a second pedicle screw, and an adjustable rod having an outer housing coupled to one of the first pedicle screw and the second pedicle screw, the outer housing having a threaded shaft secured to one end thereof extending along an interior portion thereof.
Spinal stabilizing and guiding fixation system
In one embodiment, a connector has a bone connecting portion that is elongate along a central axis and secures the connector to a vertebra, and has a guiding portion that is located proximal to the bone connecting portion. The guiding portion has a flexible wing that extends from a platform member of the guiding portion, and a connecting portion that attaches the platform member to the bone connecting portion. The wing is bendable with respect to the platform member between an extended configuration where the wing extends outwardly away from the platform member, and a curved configuration where the wing is bent so as to define at least a portion of a passageway between the inner surface of the wing and a protrusion of the platform. The passageway receives and slides along an elongated support member such as a spine rod.
SPINAL CORRECTION AND SECONDARY STABILIZATION
Methods of correcting a spinal deformity, including securing a first rod on a first side of a spine, securing an anchor on a second side of a spine, securing a lateral coupling between the rod and the anchor, translating and derotating the spine to correct the spinal deformity by adjusting an effective length of the lateral coupling, and securing a second rod on a second side of the spine to provide secondary stabilization to the spine.
EXPANDABLE POLYAXIAL SPINAL SYSTEM
A spinal pedicle screw system having the ability to be distracted after the screws (26) are inserted into the pedicle and maintain motion via polyaxial joints (22).
LOW PROFILE SCREW BASE AND ASSEMBLY METHOD FOR POSITIONING COMPRESSION RING
The low profile screw base comprises a screw base body and a positioning compression ring. An assembly hole penetrates longitudinally through the screw base body. A U-shaped slot for a connecting rod to pass through is provided on an upper portion of the screw base body. The inner wall of the screw base body on the opposite sides of the U-shaped slot is provided with internal threads. Snapping protrusions are formed on the inner wall of the screw base body on the opposite sides of the U-shaped slot below the internal threads. A lower ball socket matched with the round head of the ball screw is arranged in the assembly hole of the lower portion of the screw base body. The positioning compression ring used for compressing the round head is snap fitted above the lower ball socket and below the snapping protrusions (6).
