INTERSPINOUS PROCESS IMPLANT
20230088125 · 2023-03-23 ·

A system and method for providing a spinal implant having a main body, a proximal anchor, a distal anchor, and an internal plunger. The proximal anchor comprises a nut having an internal bore. The distal anchor comprises a plurality of wings having a first closed configuration and a second open configuration. The internal plunger is housed within a central bore of the main body. The distal end of the internal plunger is operatively connected to the first wing and the second wing to selectively move the wings between the first closed configuration and the second open configuration, and vice versa.

Interspinous process device and method

An interspinous process device is configured for placement between adjacent spinous processes on a subject's spine. The device includes a housing configured for mounting to a first spinal process, the housing having a lead screw fixedly secured at one end thereof. A magnetic assembly is at least partially disposed within the housing and configured for mounting to a second spinal process. The magnetic assembly includes a hollow magnet configured for rotation within the magnetic assembly, the hollow magnet comprising a threaded insert configured to engage with the lead screw. An externally applied magnetic field rotates the hollow magnet in a first direction or a second, opposite direction. Rotation of the hollow magnet in the first direction causes telescopic movement of the magnetic assembly out of the housing (i.e., elongation) and rotation in the second direction causes telescopic movement of the magnetic assembly into the housing (i.e., shortening).

EXPANDABLE SPINAL JACK FOR INSTALLATION BETWEEN UPPER AND LOWER SUCCEEDING SUPERIOR ARTICULAR PROCESSES
20230130877 · 2023-04-27 ·

A spinal jack adapted for installation between first and second vertebral processes, including a central body supporting first and second inter-expandable jack halves between retracted and expanded positions. Each of the jack halves further includes gripping portions adapted for engaging the vertebral processes. A geared mechanism provides for expanding or retracting the jack halves in order to establish a corrected adjusted orientation between the processes.

INTERSPINOUS SPACER

An implantable spacer for placement between adjacent spinous processes in a spinal motion segment is provided. The spacer includes a body defining a longitudinal axis and passageway. A first arm and a second arm are connected to the body. Each arm has a pair of extensions and a saddle defining a U-shaped configuration for seating a spinous process therein. Each arm has a proximal earning surface and is capable of rotation with respect to the body. An actuator assembly is disposed inside the passageway and connected to the body. When advanced, a threaded shaft of the actuator assembly contacts the earning surfaces of amls to rotate them from an undeployed configuration to a deployed configuration. In the deployed configuration, the distracted adjacent spinous processes are seated in the U-shaped portion of the arms.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR LATERALLY STABILIZED CONSTRAINT OF SPINOUS PROCESSES

A spinal implant for limiting flexion of the spine includes a tether structure for encircling adjacent spinal processes. Usually, a pair of compliance members will be provided as part of the tether structure for elastically limiting flexion while permitting an extension. A cross-member is provided between the compliance member or other portions of the tether structure to stabilize the tether structure and prevent misalignment after implantation.

ENDOSCOPIC INTERSPINOUS INSERT

Disclosed is an endoscopic interspinous insert capable of being inserted into a body through an incision hole during a spinal endoscopic operation. The endoscopic interspinous insert includes a first support member including a first support body configured to support any one of the adjacent spinous processes, and a plurality of first support protrusions protruding from two opposite ends of the first support body, a second support member including a second support body configured to support the other of the adjacent spinous processes, and a plurality of second support protrusions protruding from two opposite ends of the second support body, and an adjustment member disposed between the first support member and the second support member and configured to adjust a distance between the first support member and the second support member.

An implantable device may include a barrel, the barrel having an upper portion and a lower portion. The implantable device may further include an actuator assembly disposed in the barrel, and a central screw that extends from a rear ramped actuator through a front ramped actuator. The implantable device may further include a first plate having multiple projections extending from one side of the first plate. The implantable device may further include a second plate having multiple projections extending from one side of the second plate, the second plate configured to be received on the central screw. The barrel may be configured to transition from a collapsed form having a first height to an expanded form having a second height and wherein the second height is greater than the first height.

ADJUSTABLE SPINOUS PROCESS IMPLANT

An adjustable spinous process implant configured with one or more flexible members that extend from the implant and are further attachable to anchors implanted in adjacent vertebrae. The adjustable spinous process implant comprises a spacer that is shaped to fit between two adjacent spinal processes. The flexible members extend from one or more points on the adjustable spinous process implant and attach the anchors to provide tension and stability to the overall implant construct. The anchors are configured with a tensioning mechanism that enables the flexible members to be tensioned within the anchor.

INTERVERTEBRAL DISTRACTOR
20170348028 · 2017-12-07 ·

An interspinous device for arthrodesis, comprising a main body of distraction, inserted between two adjacent spinous processes to provide a relative support; a first and a second pair of lateral stabilizers; support means of each of the pairs of stabilizers slidable with respect to the main body; and a threaded shaft of actuation of the lateral stabilizers, percutaneously operable to determine a rotation and a subsequent translation of the stabilizers with respect to said main body, wherein the overall arrangement is such that each stabilizer is rotatably movable relative to the main body between a first closed configuration and a second open configuration, in which the stabilizers are open wide, and between the second open configuration and a third retaining configuration, in which the open-wide stabilizers of the first pair are longitudinally juxtaposed to respective open-wide stabilizers of the second pair so as to abut a spinous process.
