NON-RADIOLOGIC CLOSED FEMORAL REDUCTION AND NAILING WITH A WEIGHT BEARABLE NAIL FOR FEMORAL FRACTURES
A reduction and fixation device and a method for non-radiologic closed reduction and nailing with a weight bearable nail for femoral fractures. The reduction and fixation device includes a proximal trifurcation device, a distal trifurcation device, a length adjusting nut, and an alignment rod. The proximal trifurcation device is configured to be attached and secured to a proximal fragment of a fractured femur of a patient. The distal trifurcation device is configured to be attached and secured to a distal fragment of the fractured femur of the patient. The proximal trifurcation device, the distal trifurcation device, the length adjusting nut, and the alignment rod are configured to manipulate a proximal fragment and a distal fragment of a fractured femur to restore their alignment and orientation to a pre-fracture state.
Femur fixation apparatus
A femur fixation apparatus capable of firmly fixing in place an anti-rotation member, which includes an intramedullary nail, an anti-rotation pin configured to be inserted through the intramedullary nail, and an adjuster fitted in the intramedullary nail. The adjuster includes a rotation part and a sliding part. The rotation part is rotatably and threadedly engaged in the intramedullary nail and rotatably connected to the upper end of the sliding part. The sliding part is formed with a space through which the anti-rotation pin is inserted. An urging member extends from a side wall of the space into the space. When the rotation part is rotated in a predetermined direction relative to the intramedullary nail, then the adjuster moves downward, and the urging member presses downward and fixes in place the anti-rotation pin.
Bone compression and fixation devices
A bone screw, for drawing first and second bone fragments together, includes a shaft having a distal section and a proximal section. The distal section has a first external male screw thread and a minor diameter. The proximal section has a second external male screw thread. A major diameter of the distal section is larger than a major diameter of the proximal section. The bone screw includes a sleeve that has an internal female screw thread configured to mate with the second male screw thread. A distal portion of the sleeve has an outer diameter. The outer diameter is equal to or smaller than the minor diameter of the distal section of the shaft.
Implant system for bone fixation
An implant system for use in orthopaedic surgery for fixation of bone includes an intramedullary nail and a coupling member. The intramedullary nail includes a proximal portion defining a longitudinal axis. The proximal portion includes an axial bore defining an axis substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the proximal portion and a transverse bore configured to receive a bone fastener. The coupling member includes a through hole and is movably arranged within the axial bore of the proximal portion. Further, the coupling member includes a drive portion and a bone fastener engagement portion. The drive portion is in one variant non-rotatably coupled to the bone fastener engagement portion. The bone fastener engagement portion is configured to engage the bone fastener penetrating the transverse bore. In one variant the engagement is realized via an extended contact region.
ARTHRODESIS DEVICES FOR GENERATING AND APPLYING COMPRESSION WITHIN JOINTS
Arthrodesis devices and arthrodesis procedures are disclosed herein. In an embodiment, an arthrodesis device includes a shape memory material connecting member attached to two points of fixation.
Method and apparatus for repairing the mid-foot region via an intramedullary nail
A device, method, and system for treatment or fixation of a fractured, damaged, or deteriorating bone or bones in a mid-foot region. The device comprising an implant with both proximal and distal fastener holes, along with fastener slots in a central elongated body, for securing the implant to the appropriate osseous cortical structures of the foot. The method for treatment or fixation of fractured, damaged, or deteriorating bones in the medial column of the foot with use of a device such as an intramedullary nail that attaches to either the talus or first metatarsal bones to secure the medial cuneiform and navicular bones in place.

Intramedullary nail and method of use
A device is provided including a distal nail portion and a proximal nail portion that can be connected to each other to attain a rigid configuration. The device is to be placed internally within the medullary cavities of bones. The device is placed intramedullarily in order to minimize incision size, excessive bone resection and post-operative tendon damage and tenderness. Additionally, one particular method for using the device is provided that includes placing and affixing the distal nail in bone, placing the proximal nail in bone, connecting the distal nail to the proximal nail, doing the desired geometrical adjustments, affixing the proximal nail to the distal nail by tightening the connection and affixing the proximal nail to attain a rigid configuration.
PROXIMAL HUMERAL STABILIZATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS THEREOF
An intramedullary nail implant for positioning in a bone having a head and a shaft defining an intramedullary canal. The implant includes a distal portion having a shaft extending along a central axis and configured for positioning within the intramedullary canal. A proximal portion extends proximally from the distal portion. The proximal portion defines a contact surface which extends at least in part medially of the central axis such that it is configured to extend within a medial portion of the bone head. A method of implanting the nail is also provided.
Intramedullary nail assembly
The present disclosure provides an intramedullary nail assembly comprising an intramedullary nail and an insert sleeve. The intramedullary nail has a nail longitudinal axis and comprises a cavity being accessible from a nail proximal end, the cavity being confined by a nail inner wall, the cavity having a cavity longitudinal axis. The nail inner wall is provided with a predominantly longitudinal groove and a predominantly transverse groove, the transverse groove and the longitudinal groove communicating with each other at a junction. The insert sleeve is configured to be received within the cavity and comprises a cam radially protruding from the insert sleeve and sized to mate with each of the longitudinal and transverse grooves such that the cam is displaceable within the longitudinal groove from a longitudinal groove proximal end to the junction and is further displaceable towards a terminal end of the transverse groove.
