The orthopedic assembly includes a first member adapted to be coupled to a bone and an adjustable connector assembly including an adjuster having a threaded end and a tapered end. The assembly also includes an articulation component including a bearing surface and adapted to be coupled to the tapered end of the adjustable connector assembly. The threaded end is adapted to engage the fixation plate.

EXPANDABLE ORTHOPEDIC IMPLANT

An expandable orthopedic implant includes a casing pipe, a shaft, a first expandable element and a first link lever. The casing pipe has a first opening, a second opening and an axis passing through the first and second opening. The casing pipe sheathes one end of the shaft, and the other end of the shaft has a top portion disposed out of the first opening. The first expandable element has a first terminal pivoted on the casing pipe and a second terminal. The first link lever has a proximal end pivoted to the top portion and a distal end pivoted to the second terminal. When the top portion is driven moving away from the first opening along an extending direction of the axis, the first link-lever can be pushed by the shaft to enact the second terminal moving away from the axis along a direction perpendicular to the axis.

Multiplexed screws

A bone fixation element comprises a shaft extending substantially along a longitudinal axis of the fixation element in combination with a head including a plurality of fixation element openings distributed about a perimeter thereof. Each of the fixation element openings extends through the head from a proximal surface thereof to a distal surface of the head. Each of the fixation element openings extends through the head along an opening axis.

Locking System For Femoral Neck Fracture Fixation

A fixation device for providing rotation stability to a femoral neck fracture. The device includes a bone plate having at least one opening, a compression screw housing extendable through the opening of the bone plate, a compression screw being at least partially disposed within the bore of the housing and selectively moveable through the bore, and a collapsible and expandable anchoring member coupled to the compression screw. The anchoring member is configured to transition between a collapsed condition and an expanded condition upon advancement of the anchoring member from the compression screw housing to rotationally stabilize the compression screw within a femur.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FRACTURE REPLACEMENT OF COMMINUTED BONE FRACTURES OR PORTIONS THEREOF ADJACENT BONE JOINTS
20190151105 · 2019-05-23 ·

A system and method facilitating replacement of comminuted bone fractures or portions thereof adjacent bone joints. The system and method employs a prosthesis to replace at least a portion of the comminuted bone fractures. The prosthesis serves in reproducing the articular surface of the portion or portions of the comminuted bone fractures that are replaced. In doing so, the prosthesis serves in restoring joint viability and corresponding articulation thereof.

The invention relates to Implant device (1) comprising a rigid element (10) being designed to be fastened to a femur implant (20) in a fastened state of said rigid element (10), wherein particularly said femur implant (20) is an intramedullary nail or a femoral stem. According to the invention said rigid element (10) is designed as a hook-shaped plate (10) for encompassing the greater trochanter (3) of the femur (2) at least in sections when being arranged in said fastened state and when said femur implant (20) is arranged in or on the femur (2) as intended.

INTERNAL FIXATION DEVICE FOR THE PEDIATRIC CORRECTION OF SEVERE BONE MALFORMATIONS
20190110822 · 2019-04-18 ·

The invention concerns an inner plate fixator device (1) for the correction of severe bone malformations, of the type comprising an elongated plate (2, 2) in which through holes (3, 4) for receiving bone screws are provided.

The use of this fixator device allows the pediatric correction of severe bone malformations, in particular malformations of the proximal portion of the femur.

Femur supporting device

A femur supporting device includes a femoral stem having a plurality of inclined passages. The femoral stem includes an inner side and an outer side. Each inclined passage includes an outlet in the inner side and an inlet in the outer side. Each inclined passage inclines upward from the inlet to the outlet. A plurality of supporting rods extends through the inclined passages. A first engaging end of each supporting rod extends out of the outlet of one of the inclined passages. A second engaging end of each supporting rod extends out of the inlet of one of the inclined passages. The first engaging end of each supporting rod is engaged with one of a plurality of first engaging portions in a trochanter head. The second engaging end of each supporting rod is engaged with one of a plurality of second engaging portions of a fixing unit.

APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR TREATMENT OF A BONE

Apparatus and methods for treatment of a bone. The apparatus may include an implant. The implant may include an implant tail and an implant head configured to expand, inside the bone, from a collapsed state to an expanded state. The apparatus may include an intramedullary rod defining a central longitudinal rod axis. The intramedullary rod may include a guide segment configured to guide the implant head into the bone and support the implant tail. The intramedullary rod may include an elongated extension member spaced radially apart from the central longitudinal axis. The extension member may be configured to provide clearance for the implant head as the implant head is advanced, in the collapsed state, into the bone. The extension member may be configured to provide clearance for the implant head in the expanded state.

Methods for implanting bone plates

A bone plate includes (a) a body having a first surface which, in an operative configuration, faces away from a bone on which the plate is to be mounted and a second surface, which in the operative configuration, faces the bone, the body including a first section extending along a first longitudinal axis and a second section extending along a second longitudinal axis angled with respect to the first longitudinal axis; (b) a first hole extending through the body from the first surface to the second surface and defining a first hole axis, the first hole being structured to lockingly engage a head of a first bone anchor inserted therein such that a shaft of the first bone anchor extends along the first hole axis; and (c) a second hole extending through the body and spaced apart from the first hole. The second hole defines a second hole axis and is structured to lockingly engage a head of a second bone anchor inserted therein such that a shaft of the second bone anchor extends along the second hole axis. The first and second hole axes defines a single plane and intersecting at a point on a side of the bone plate facing the second surface.
