Suprapectineal quadrilateral bone plating system and methods of making and using same
The presently disclosed and claimed inventive concept(s) relates generally to the field of bone plates for the reduction and fixation of bone fractures. In particular, the presently disclosed and claimed inventive concept(s) relates to a quadrilateral surface bone plate for the fixation of acetabular fractures having at least one securing port therein and methods of making and using same.
Assembly comprising an implantable part designed to be fastened to one or more bones or bone portions to be joined, and at least one screw for fastening the implantable part to said bone(s)
An assembly including an implantable part designed to be fastened to at least one bone or bone portions to be joined and at least one screw for fastening the implantable part to the at least one bone or bone portions. The implantable part includes at least one tapped hole and the screw includes a head designed to be engaged in the tapped hole. The tapped hole is cylindrical and includes at least one radial notch emerging in a surface of the implantable part through which the screw is designed to be engaged in the tapped hole. The radial notch produces an interruption in the tapping included by the tapped hole. The head of the screw is conical, with an apical angle of between 15 and 25°.
Endoprosthesis for the partial replacement of the human pelvic bone
An endoprosthesis for partial replacement of the human pelvic bone (B) in the region of the acetabulum and of the ilium (II), by means of which a single prosthesis provides a bone replacement and stabilization in the region of the acetabulum and in defective sections of the ilium (II). The endoprosthesis, is suitable for restoring one single piece, even for serious bone defects in the pelvic region, and for maintaining or reshaping articulation and mobility in this region. The endoprosthesis includes a first section having a first partially spherical recess that serves as a replacement for the acetabulum, and a second section for the contact elements on the ilium (II). The second section extends from the first section along an edge of the first partially spherical recess in a flattened manner and is integrally connected to the first section. A second partially spherical recess is provided in the second section.
Device and Method for Fixing Acetabular Fractures Involving the Anterior/Posterior Column and Quadrilateral Plate
Disclosed are a device for fixing acetabular fractures involving the anterior/posterior column and acetabulum quadrilateral plate and a usage method thereof. The device includes an iliopectineal plate and an trapezoidal plate or a pubic plate. The iliopectineal plate and the pubic plate are integrally bent to match with a medial anatomic structure of an iliopectineal line and a superior pubic ramus. The shape of trapezoidal plate matches with the acetabulur quadrilateral plate, the anterior column and the posterior column to fix the posterior column, an ischium and the acetabulum quadrilateral plate from inside to outside. The device is at the medial surface of the iliopectineal line, which fixes the fragments of the acetabulum quadrilateral plate in an opposite direction and fixes the acetabular fracture stably for improving the quality of reduction and fixation.
IMPLANT COMPONENTS AND METHODS
Systems, devices, and methods are provided for orthopedic implants. The implants may include a base member, such as an acetabular shell or an augment, that is configured to couple with an augment, flange cup, mounting member, or any other suitable orthopedic attachment. Mounting members include, for example, flanges, blades, hooks, and plates. In some embodiments, the orthopedic attachments may be adjustably positionable about the base member or other attachments, thereby providing modularity for assembling and implanting the device, and various securing and/or locking mechanisms may be used between the components of the implant.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INSERTING A FASTENER INTO BONE
An insertion guide for guiding a fastener having a head and a shaft. The insertion guide includes a sidewall constructed of a biocompatible material having an entrance end, an exit end, and a cavity extending from the entrance end to the exit end. The sidewall has a guide portion and a fastener connector portion. The guide portion of the sidewall extends from the entrance end toward the exit end, and the fastener connector portion of the sidewall extends from the exit end toward the guide portion. The sidewall in the guide portion is configured such that the cavity has a first cross-sectional distance greater than the head of the fastener. The sidewall in the fastener connector portion has a second cross-sectional distance greater than the shaft, and less than the head.
CONNECTABLE LOCKING PLATE ASSEMBLY
A connectable locking plate assembly comprises a locking plate unit, a connection unit, and a locking component. The locking plate unit comprises multiple interconnecting fixing parts. The connection unit comprises multiple interconnecting positioning parts, and at least one of the positioning parts has an assembly recess. One of the fixing parts is inserted into the assembly recess. The locking component is mounted through the screw connecting hole on the connection unit and is screwed into the screw setting hole of the locking plate unit. Therefore, the connectable locking plate assembly can be assembled into an appropriate structure by assembling the locking plate unit, the connection unit, and the locking component to meet the sizes and outer shapes of the bones at the fracture site. Therefore, the assembly can increase the fitting and fixing effect to the bones, and can enhance convenience during assembling.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FACILITATING OSTEOTOMY OF THE PELVIC
A surgical implant system includes a surgical implant and at least one fixation device. The surgical implant includes a first side member, a second side member, a distal member and a proximal member. The first side member is disposed in opposed relation relative to the second side member, the first and second side members including distal and proximal ends. The distal member is disposed in opposed, spaced relation relative to the proximal member. The distal member extends across one end of the surgical implant between the first and second side member connecting distal ends of the first and second side members. The proximal member extends across a second end of the surgical implant connecting the proximal ends of the first and second side members. The fixation device is inserted in and advanced through osseous tissue and traverses the openings of the first and second side members.
