Hip Joint Device
A medical device for treating hip joint osteoarthritis in a human patient by providing at least one artificial hip joint surface. The medical device comprises a prosthetic part or a bone plug adapted to be placed in a hole in the pelvic bone and a supporting member connected to said prosthetic part or bone plug, wherein the prosthetic part or the bone plug is adapted to be inserted into said hole from the abdominal side of the acetabulum and oriented, during the insertion, such that the concave interior surface is facing in the direction towards the caput femur. Wherein the medical device comprises an artificial caput femur surface or artificial acetabulum surface, and wherein a largest cross-sectional distance of said artificial caput femur or acetabulum surface is smaller than said hole, such that said artificial caput femur surface can pass through said hole.
Femur plate
A femur plate is provided, the femur plate comprising a first end portion anatomically pre-formed to conform to a trochanter region of the femur and a second end portion anatomically pre-formed to conform to a condyle region of the femur, wherein the second end portion comprises at least one first opening configured to receive a bone fastener. The femur plate further comprises an elongate shaft extending from the first end portion to the second end portion, the elongate shaft comprising at least one second opening configured to receive a bone fastener. Furthermore, a periprosthetic implant system comprising the femur plate and a method of implanting the femur plate are provided.
BONE PLATE
The present invention is directed to a bone plate and its method of use for reducing a bone fracture, the bone plate having a longitudinal axis, the bone plate comprising an upper surface, a lower surface, a first hole for engaging a head of a first bone anchor. The first hole is configured and adapted to fix a shaft of the first bone anchor along a first axis. A second hole is spaced apart from the first hole along the longitudinal axis. The second hole is for engaging a head of a second bone anchor, and is configured and adapted to fix a shaft of the second bone anchor along a second axis. The first hole and the second hole are configured such that the first axis and the second axis define a single plane and intersect at a point below the lower surface. The shafts of the first and second bone anchors may touch or nearly touch at the point of intersection, such that the first and second bone anchors form a truss.
Expandable penile prosthesis
An embodiment includes a penile prosthetic comprising: an expandable conduit; a pump; a reservoir; a first conduit that couples the expandable conduit to the pump; a second conduit that couples the reservoir to the pump; and a plate that couples to the expandable conduit, wherein the plate includes a concave surface. Other embodiments are described herein.
Iliac Prosthesis
The present disclosure provides an iliac prosthesis, comprising: a prosthesis main body, the prosthesis main body including a first end portion contacted and matched with a sacrum and a second end portion contacted and matched with an acetabulum, a first screw hole being formed in the first end portion, a first screw seat being arranged in the first screw hole, the screw-rod structure including a connecting seat and a rod body, the connecting seat being connected with the prosthesis main body, and the rod body being fixed on the connecting seat; and an anti-dropping mechanism, the anti-dropping mechanism being arranged between the prosthesis main body and the connecting seat in a clamping manner. The technical solutions of the present disclosure can effectively, solve the problems of, unreliable supporting and easy fatigue break of the screw-rod system in the related technology.
METAL ALLOY MONO AND POLY-FILAMENT WIRE REINFORCED CARBON FIBER PLATING SYSTEM
The invention entails metal alloy mono and poly-filament wire reinforced carbon fiber plating system for the fixation of skeletal fractures and osteotomies. Current fracture fixation plating systems are metal alloy designs that block the field of vision of the fracture during radiographic evaluation. Carbon fiber and mono and poly-filament wire plating systems reduce the weight and thickness as compared to the current plating designs while permitting direct visualization of the fracture site during the healing process. The benefits of the plating design contribute to the satisfaction of the patient and reduce disruption to the surrounding soft tissue structures. An embodiment of the plating system entails layered sheets of carbon fiber with an infrastructural framework of metal alloy mono and poly-filament wire for added strength and durability of the plate. This system can be utilized for all types of skeletal fracture and osteotomy fixation as well as fields of mechanical, aerospace, and structural engineering where durable lightweight, high strength materials are required.
Threaded Joint for Supporting and Stabilizing a Rear Fracture of the Pelvic Ring or for Stabilizing and Stiffening the Sacroiliac Joint
Threaded joints for supporting and stabilizing a rear fracture of the pelvic ring or for stabilizing and stiffening the sacroiliac joint, either with a threaded bar in connection with threaded nuts or a screw in connection with the sacrum. The threaded joints are characterized by secure support and stabilization of a rear fracture of the pelvic ring or by secure stabilization and stiffening of the sacroiliac joint. The threaded joint as an implant is either a threaded bar in connection with threaded nuts for supporting the rear fracture of the pelvic ring or a screw in connection with the sacrum. There is a washer located between the ilium and the threaded nut or the screw head, the side of the washer that faces the ilium being mutually oblique in at least two planes and the oblique surfaces being arranged at an angle to each another.
