Wedge osteotomy device and method of use
An orthopedic implant system includes a wedge implant. The implant includes a body having an upper surface extending generally in a first plane. The upper surface has a first plurality of longitudinal grooves and a second plurality of transverse grooves extending therealong. Portions of the upper surface extend between adjacent longitudinal grooves and transverse grooves form individual peaks. A lower surface extends generally in a second plane, parallel to the first plane. The lower surface has a third plurality of longitudinal grooves and a fourth plurality of transverse grooves extending therealong. Portions of the lower surface extend between adjacent longitudinal grooves and transverse grooves form individual peaks.
Methods, devices, and systems related to a surgical driver
Methods, systems, and devices are provided for the alignment of implants or fastener members. For example, a surgical driver device is provided that has a driver head with a sidewall, a bore extending into a distal end of the driver head that is configured to receive an implant therein, and an alignment post that is disposed within the bore and extends distally beyond a distal opening of the bore. A retention member is disposed along a perimeter of the driver head and is configured to provide an interference fit between the driver head and an implant. A surgical caddie is also provided that has a housing, a plurality of implants on a mounting station, and a removal post that external threads that are matable with internal threads on each of the plurality of implants.
DRILL WIRE SLEEVE
A drill wire sleeve includes a tubular oblong sleeve having a length, an internal diameter and an external diameter. The drill wire sleeve has a first axial end cap and a second axial end cap. The first axial end cap and/or the second axial end cap is detachably fastenable without tools on the tubular oblong sleeve using a thread and detachably closes an insertion opening of the tubular oblong sleeve. The first axial end cap and/or the second axial end cap has a non-rotationally symmetrical outer cross section and the tubular oblong sleeve has a plurality of first passages in its lateral surface. The first passages are formed oblong and are inclined at an angle of 25 to 65 in relation to the longitudinal axis of the tubular oblong sleeve, preferably at an angle of 28 to 55, and more preferably at an angle of 31 to 52.
DEVICE FOR HOLDING AND RELEASING AN OBJECT, AND RELATED METHODS
The invention relates to a device for holding and releasing an object, comprising a main body comprising a housing to at least partially accommodate said object and an opening to enable at least a portion of the object to be removed, a lid that can be moved from a closed position preventing access to said opening and an open position enabling access to said opening, and a stop mechanism designed such that it can be moved to different positions relative to the main body towards the opening of said main body, but blocked in the other direction, to enable the stop mechanism to be brought into contact with or close to the object while preventing any recoil of the stop mechanism. The invention also relates to a corresponding production method and release methods.
ORTHOPAEDIC FIXATION DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Implantable fixation devices for rejoining opposed portions of a separated bone. The devices include plates that may be affixed to a rib and realign separated portions of the rib or other body part. The devices may also include various locking mechanisms that receive a cable that may be used to realign and bring together separated portions of a bone or other body part. The devices may further include plates that may be affixed to a sternum and realign separated portions of the sternum or other body part.
ORTHOPEDIC IMPLANT CARRIER SYSTEM AND METHOD
An orthopedic implant carrier system has a carrier with a front cover, a back cover, and a linking member pivotally connected to the front cover and the back cover, such that the front cover and back cover are opposably movable about the linking member, with respect to each other. At least one insert connector is connected to the carrier, with an insert releasably connectable to the at least one insert connector. The insert has a pocket, with a plurality of orthopedic implants organized by implant type, size, and length.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ASSEMBLING A STRUCTURE TO SECURE TO OPPOSITE SIDES OF A FRACTURE IN A BONE OF A SUBJECT
A modular system is provided for assembling a structure to secure to opposite sides of a fracture in a bone of a subject. The modular system includes a plate with a perimeter including a plurality of openings. The perimeter defines an interior area within the plate. The modular system also includes a link with one or more openings along a linear axis defining the link. The one or more openings of the link include a connector to receive a fastener to be secured in the bone. The plurality of openings of the plate includes a first opening with an inner diameter configured to removably receive an outer diameter of the connector of the link so that the link is rotatably received within the first opening. A method is also provided for assembling the structure using the modular system and securing the assembled structure to opposite sides of the bone fracture.
Self-propelling surgical device
The present disclosure is directed to a self-propelling surgical device and method for using the same. The device is configured to drill a hole into an object, such as a bone, and subsequently insert an implant, such as a screw or pin, into the hole. The device drills the hole and inserts the implant under its own power. The device may perform desired actions automatically or manually.
TUBE RACK APPARATUS
A tube rack apparatus including a bottom portion having a first length, a plurality of indents formed in the bottom portion and configured to receive tubes and keep tubes straight, the plurality of indents exposing a lower surface of the bottom portion, wherein inserted tubes do not pass through the lower surface of the bottom portion, a plurality of legs extending from the bottom portion, a top portion having a second length longer than the first length, a plurality of openings formed in the top portion, the plurality of openings aligned with the plurality of indents, and at least one handle member extending from a first end of the top portion.
Snap lock packaging
The present invention relates to packages and methods of using packages that provide a sterile enclosure for an implant so that the implant can be transported and retrieved without being contaminated. In one embodiment, the package includes an insert with an implant disposed therein and a tray. The insert includes a first engagement feature and the tray includes a second engagement feature corresponding to the first engagement feature. The insert is sized to fit within and engage with the tray through engagement of the first and second engagement features, where in a first position the implant is secured within the package and in a second position, the implant is retrievable from the insert. The insert moves relative to the tray between the first and positions, but remains secured to it in both positions.
