Oral care implement

An oral care implement in one embodiment includes an elongated body comprising a head portion supporting plurality of tooth cleaning elements and a handle portion. The tooth cleaning elements are disposed on longitudinally extending bristle carrier sections hingedly coupled together about a common pivot axis. The axis may be formed by a flexible web. A slidable actuator mounted in the handle portion is mechanically coupled to the bristle carrier assembly by an elongated operating rod. Moving the actuator in opposing rearward and forward directions opens or folds the bristles on the carriers outwards or inwards respectively about the common pivot axis. In the folded position, the bristles are configured for interdental cleaning of the teeth. In the open or extended position, the bristles are configured for general purpose cleaning of the teeth.

Toothbrush with moved elements

A toothbrush including a main member that includes a handle portion, a neck portion and a head portion. At least one brush member, which forms at least part of the brush head along with the head portion and is movable relative to the head portion, is disposed in the head portion. The at least one brush member can be moved under the effect of a cleaning movement manually exerted on the teeth.

The present invention is intended to provide a toothbrush which can increase a contact area between teeth and bristles and further enhance frictional force while a head on which the bristles are planted is elastically moving vertically and laterally in accordance with the shapes of the teeth, which can minimize the wear of teeth and the damage of periodontal tissues attributable to booth brushing by adjusting pressure excessively exerted on teeth by a toothbrush user, which enables a patient with a periodontal disease to more easily use bass technique-based tooth brushing, thereby helping the cleanliness of gums and the health of periodontal tissues, maximizing a tooth brushing effect, and contributing to the improvement of oral hygiene, and which can provide the convenience of fabrication.

A hair brush has a head, a handle extending from the head and a plurality of bristles. The head has a front portion, a rear portion and an edge portion. The rear and edge portions define a hollow housing. The front portion is flexible and the plurality of bristles extend therefrom except at a central portion. The front portion engages an inner channel of the edge portion and is movable between convex and concave configurations. When the hair brush is in a collapsed configuration, the front portion is in a concave configuration and it is within the hollow housing to facilitate transport and storage. When the hair brush is in an uncollapsed/extended position, the bristles are outside the hollow housing and ready to be used.
