IMPLANTS FOR TISSUE FIXATION AND FUSION
20220175433 · 2022-06-09 · ·

A fixation implant includes a head, a shank and a distal tip, and one or more of the head, shank and distal tip may be cannulated. The shank includes a threaded ingrowth portion extending from the head to the tapered distal tip that includes external threads, and at least one open network body extending along the length of the ingrowth portion. The open network body selected from one or a combination of a helix, an arrangement of trusses, a scaffold of open and interconnected pores, a porous framework of random open and interconnected pores, and combinations of these.

BONE SCREW

A bone screw includes an external screw thread, an internal supporter structure and a porous layer. The internal supporter structure is inside the external screw thread. The internal supporter structure includes a screw thread supporter or a polygonal wall supporter. The porous layer is on a surface of the internal supporter structure. Therefore, the bone screw has an increased strength and also provides postoperative healing effect.

Devices for fixing interbody fusion devices to bone by helically or corkscrew-shaped elements are provided. Methods for surgically implanting an interbody fusion device using helically-shaped fixation wire are provided.

Hybrid Cannulated Orthopedic Screws

The disclosure relates to medical devices and methods of manufacturing medical devices. An orthopedic screw includes an inner core member having a head having a first outer diameter, a tip having a second outer diameter, and a body extending between the head and the tip and having a third outer diameter that is less than the first outer diameter and the second outer diameter. An outer body member is disposed circumferentially around the body of the inner core member and defines an outer body member external thread. The tip of the inner core member can define an inner core member external thread that forms an interrupted thread with the outer body member external thread.

IMPLANTS FOR SPINAL FIXATION AND OR FUSION

Bone implants, including methods of use and assembly. The bone implants, which are optionally composite implants, generally include a distal anchoring region and a growth region that is proximal to the distal anchoring region. The distal anchoring region can have one or more distal surface features that adapt the distal anchoring region for anchoring into iliac bone. The growth region can have one or more growth features that adapt the growth region to facilitate at least one of bony on-growth, in-growth, or through-growth. The implants may be positioned along a posterior sacral alar-iliac (“SAT”) trajectory. The implants may be coupled to one or more bone stabilizing constructs, such as rod elements thereof.

Composite interference screws and drivers

The present disclosure relates to an anchor. The anchor includes a suture bridge having a proximal end and distal end. The distal end of the suture bridge has a thickness greater than a thickness of the proximal end of the suture bridge. At least two ribs extend from the proximal end of the suture bridge to a proximal end of the anchor. At least one open helical coil wraps around the at least two ribs and extends, substantially, from the proximal end of the suture bridge to the proximal end of the anchor. The at least one open helical coil defines an internal volume communicating with a region exterior to the anchor through apertures between turns of the at least one open helical coil. The at least two ribs are engagable with a grooved shaft of a driver.

BONE STABILIZING IMPLANTS AND METHODS OF PLACEMENT ACROSS SI JOINTS

Threaded sacro-iliac joint stabilization (e.g., fusion, fixation) implants and methods of implantation and manufacture. Some implants include a threaded distal region, an optionally threaded central region, and an optionally threaded proximal region. The distal, central, and proximal regions have lengths such that when the implant is laterally implanted across a SI joint, the distal region can be positioned in a sacrum, the central region can be positioned across an SI-joint, and the proximal region can be positioned in an ilium.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROMOTING SACROILIAC JOINT FUSION

Embodiments are directed to fusion implants, insertion instruments, and methods of using the same for implanting one or more fusion implants across a sacroiliac joint and into an ilium and sacrum for fusing the sacroiliac joint. In some cases, fusion-promoting material may be inserted in the fusion implant for further promoting fusion across the sacroiliac joint. In some cases, neurophysiologic monitoring may be performed as the fusion implants are placed across the sacroiliac joint.

PEDICLE-BASED INTRADISCAL FIXATION DEVICES AND METHODS

Pedicle-based intradiscal fixation devices, systems, instruments, and methods thereof. The implant or a portion thereof may be composed of a shape-memory material, which has a curved shape-memory orientation and a temporarily straight orientation. The implant may be configured to be inserted into a pedicle of an inferior vertebra, through the vertebral body of the inferior vertebra, and into the vertebral body of the superior vertebra to thereby stabilize the inferior and superior vertebrae.
