The present invention regards a device for supplying fluid substances in the body of a patient comprising a first tubular element, a second tubular element as well as at least one component for the angular movement or articulation of the first tubular element with respect to the second tubular element around an articulation axis (z-z).

SURGICAL INJECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD

A surgical injection device includes at least one tubular element defining a passageway. The passageway is configured for disposal of a selected volume of an agent and an evacuator disposed within the passageway. An actuator is engageable with the evacuator to entirely expel the selected volume of the agent from the passageway to a selected site. Spinal constructs, implants, systems and methods are disclosed.

An apparatus and method for mixing and dispensing bone cement is provided. The apparatus includes a mixing vessel for mixing bone cement attached to a syringe body. The syringe body having a lumen that is connected to the mixing vessel by a passageway between the mixing vessel and the lumen of the syringe body. A separator is provided between the mixing vessel and the syringe body and includes an orifice therein so that when the opening in the separator is misaligned with the lumen the passageway is blocked and when aligned the passageway is continuous with the lumen so that bone cement can pass into the syringe body. A plunger is provided and is slideably movable along the longitudinal axis of the syringe body so as to advance the bone cement out of the distal end of the syringe.

Systems, methods, and kits for performing endoscopic fusion with neuromonitoring. The endoscopic fusion may be performed, for example, through a cannula providing a portal to the disc space. Throughout various steps in the procedure, neuromonitoring may occur to minimize the possibility of injuring or contacting a nerve.

BONE GRAFT DELIVERY SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USING SAME

The present invention relates to an apparatus, system and method for delivery of bone graft material in a patient's spine. The graft delivery device according to various embodiments delivers and disperses biologic material to a disc space and without withdrawal from the surgical site. In one embodiment, the graft delivery device includes a plunger with a distal end configured to bend relative to a longitudinal axis as bone graft material is delivery to the disc space. The plunger can include two arms that extend generally parallel to the longitudinal axis. The graft delivery device may selectively deliver a fusion cage for deposit to the same disc space.

BALLOON, MEDICAL DEVICE AND MEDICAL PROCEDURE FOR DISCOPLASTY

A balloon, a medical device, and a medical procedure for discoplasty are disclosed. The balloon has a compressed, collapsed or folded balloon body containing a first chamber for, in use, receiving injected bone cement. With the bone cement filled and cured therein, the balloon acts as a support in tissue of an intervertebral disc while preventing the bone cement from leakage and dispersion. The deployed balloon body defines a second chamber running therethrough. The second chamber is configured to receive a material or cells that activate osteogenesis and/or osteo-induction, so that the material or cells injected into the second chamber through a second sprue form osteocytes or induce human spontaneous local cellular differentiation to in turn form osteocytes in the cavity of the intervertebral disc and connect vertebrae above and below the intervertebral disc, thereby securely anchoring the balloon within the intervertebral space.

Bone cement injection device

The bone cement injection device includes an injection assembly and a filler assembly. The injection assembly includes a barrel, first needle member, second needle member, and plunger. The first needle member is movably housed inside the barrel, and includes a first member body, a first conduit, a side tube, and puller elements. The second needle member is housed in the first needle member, and includes a second member body, and a second conduit. A space is maintained between the first and second conduits. The plunger is joined to the first member body and is movably housed in the second member body. The filler assembly fills bone cement into the second member body. The first needle member is pulled backward, and the plunger injects the bone cement into the patient's bone. With an air compressor connected to the side tube, a negative pressure is created to facilitate bone cement injection.

Systems and methods for off-axis augmentation of a vertebral body

Systems and methods for augmenting a vertebral body may include an optional access cannula, introducer device, and a stylet having a stylet shaft. The access cannula includes a hub portion and a cannula shaft extending from the cannula hub. The cannula shaft includes a distal end positionable within the vertebral body that defines a lumen along a longitudinal axis. The introducer device may be a telescoping or pivoting introducer device that is removably coupled to the hub portion of the access cannula. The introducer device controls the movement of the flexible distal portion of the stylet shaft and the flexible sheath from within the introducer device through the access cannula to within a target site in the vertebral body, wherein the flexible distal portion is moved from the constrained to the unconstrained state to displace cancellous bone within the target site.
