Material delivery surgical device
Medical devices for injecting materials into patients are disclosed. The devices can include a body having a handle and a lever. The devices can also include a delivery tube comprising a passageway along a longitudinal axis and a nozzle with an opening, the delivery tube configured to couple with a distal end of the body. A driving rod can be inserted into the body and extend into the passageway, such that the lever can move the driving rod distally when the lever is actuated toward the handle. Methods of using the material delivery device are also disclosed.

An assisted manual injection device for injecting a composition contained in a container, in which the container is provided with a needle at its distal end, and contains a piston, the injection device having a body comprising at least one gripping zone by which the body can be held in a user's hand, a holding element for holding the container configured to receive and hold the container in a stationary manner relative to the body, an electromechanical system comprising a piston rod capable of moving in translation in the container relative to the body of the device to move the piston, an actuation system for actuating the piston rod, a processor capable of communicating with the actuation system, wherein the device comprises at least one force sensor positioned on the body at a gripping zone.
Bone graft delivery system and method for using same
The present invention relates to an apparatus, system and method for delivery of bone graft material in a patient's spine. The graft delivery device according to various embodiments delivers and disperses biologic material to a disc space and without withdrawal from the surgical site. In one embodiment, the graft delivery device includes a plunger with a distal end configured to bend relative to a longitudinal axis as bone graft material is delivery to the disc space. The plunger can include two arms that extend generally parallel to the longitudinal axis. The graft delivery device may selectively deliver a fusion cage for deposit to the same disc space.
VERTEBRAL JOINT IMPLANTS AND DELIVERY TOOLS
A spinal joint distraction system for treating a facet joint including articular surfaces having a contour is disclosed and may include a delivery device including a generally tubular structure adapted to engage a facet joint, an implant adapted to be delivered through the delivery device and into the facet joint, the implant comprising two members arranged in opposed position, and an implant distractor comprising a generally elongate member adapted to advance between the two members of the implant causing separation of the members and distraction of the facet joint, wherein the implant is adapted to conform to the shape of the implant distractor and/or the articular surfaces of the facet upon being delivered to the facet joint. Several embodiments of a system, several embodiments of an implant, and several methods are disclosed including a method for interbody fusion.
Apparatus for delivery of reinforcing materials to bone
An apparatus and methods for delivery of reinforcing materials to a weakened or fractured bone is disclosed. An apparatus for delivering a reinforcing mixture to a bone including a tube having a proximal end, a distal end, and a longitudinal axis therebetween, wherein the tube has at least one inner lumen capable of allowing a bone reinforcing mixture to pass therethrough; a balloon engaging the tube wherein the balloon expands from a substantially deflated state to a substantially inflated state upon the bone reinforcing mixture entering the balloon; and at least one light guide extending through the tube into the balloon to guide a light into the balloon.
Bone Graft Delivery Loading Assembly
A bone graft loading system includes a loading funnel, syringe, cannula, plunger, and loading tool. The loading funnel includes an interior passageway to receive the cannula and a syringe docking portion. The syringe may be coupled to the syringe docking portion so that it extends along a longitudinal axis that is transverse to the longitudinal axes of the cannula and the loading funnel. A user may advance bone graft from the syringe to a holding area of the loading funnel. The user may then move the loading tool through the holding area and into the interior space of the cannula to load the cannula with bone graft. This process may be repeated until the cannula is fully loaded with bone graft. The cannula and the plunger inside the cannula may then be removed from the loading funnel and coupled to an injector assembly for use in surgery.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROMOTING SACROILIAC JOINT FUSION
Embodiments are directed to fusion implants, insertion instruments, and methods of using the same for implanting one or more fusion implants across a sacroiliac joint and into an ilium and sacrum for fusing the sacroiliac joint. In some cases, fusion-promoting material may be inserted in the fusion implant for further promoting fusion across the sacroiliac joint. In some cases, neurophysiologic monitoring may be performed as the fusion implants are placed across the sacroiliac joint.
Kyphoplasty system and method
A kyphoplasty system includes various instruments which can be selectively used in a surgical theater (e.g., during a surgical operation on a patient) or a surgical training environment. The kyphoplasty system can include one or more of a kyphoplasty apparatus, a prone table mat, a connector system, a bone introducer needle, and a biopsy device. The kyphoplasty system may also include a training system for use in the training environment.
MIXING AND DELIVERY DEVICE FOR BONE CEMENT AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
Implementations described herein include a hone cement mixing and delivery device including a cylindrical container defines a chamber and has an injection passage disposed at the distal end thereof. A plug can be removably disposable in the injection passage. The mixing screw is rotatably disposable in the chamber and has a screw thread extending along an outer surface of the mixing screw as well as a return passage extending through the mixing screw from the proximal end to the distal end thereof. In a mixing mode of the device, a mixing rod engages and rotates the mixing screw about the longitudinal axis of the cylindrical container causing material disposed in the chamber to be moved distally and return to the proximal end of the chamber through the return passage of the mixing screw. In an injection mode of the device, the plug can be removed from the injection passage and an injection rod occludes the return passage of the mixing screw. The injection rod engages and rotates the mixing screw about the longitudinal axis moving material disposed in the chamber through the injection passage.
