Bone material mixing and dispensing devices and methods
A device for mixing and dispensing bone material is provided. The device comprises a tubular member having an interior surface configured to receive bone material and a fluid to mix the bone material disposed within the tubular member. The tubular member is flexible and has a proximal opening configured to slidably receive a plunger, and a distal opening configured to dispense a mixed bone material from the interior surface of the tubular member. The plunger is less flexible than the tubular member. Methods of mixing and dispensing bone material are also provided.
Cement mixing and injection system and methods
The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for mixing and injecting fluid treatment, such as cement to treat bone or hard tissue. In some embodiments, a mixing apparatus may facilitate mixing within a syringe. Additionally, the syringe may be configured to extract bone cement from a cement mixer. A syringe for mixing and injecting cement may include a detachable handle that may be detached after extracting bone cement from a mixer to facilitate coupling to a high-pressure syringe for injection.
Bone graft cartridge and bone graft delivery system
Systems and methods for delivering bone graft material, which utilize a graft material cartridge. The bone graft delivery system comprises an outer delivery unit and a graft material cartridge. The bone graft delivery system is configured to provide a mechanism that loads graft material through a delivery tube and not at the end or outside of it.
Osteomedullary tissue processing system
A bone graft preparation and delivery system including a main body shaft, a bone graft matrix, a first end cap, a second end cap and a plunger. The main body shaft has a first end and a second end. The main body shaft has a main body shaft bore that extends between the first end and the second end. The bone graft matrix is placed in the main bore shaft. The first end cap is attachable to the first end. The second end cap is attachable to the second end. The bone graft preparation and delivery system is operable in a bone graft preparation configuration and a bone graft delivery configuration. When the bone graft preparation and delivery system is in the bone graft preparation configuration, the first end cap and the second end cap are attached to the main body shaft. When the bone graft preparation and delivery system is in the bone graft delivery configuration, the plunger is extendable through the main body shaft bore.
SUBPERIOSTEAL SYRINGE DEVICE FOR ADMITTING BONE GRAFT MATERIAL INTO A SUBPERIOSTEAL LOCUS
A subperiosteal syringe assembly for storing, containing and delivering bone graft material to a location within the tissue of a jaw for use in a medical procedure. The syringe assembly has a lumen body that is maneuverable within the subperiosteal tissue to deposit bone graft material at the desired surgical site. Embodiments include a lumen body that has a flat shape, such as an elliptical shape. A plunger is provided to deliver the syringe contents. The syringe may be loaded with bone graft material, and some embodiments may be supplied pre-loaded with bone graft material. An end cap seals the open end of the lumen, and may function as a septum that may be punctured with a needle to introduce a liquid substance, such as a growth factor, into the lumen where the bone material is stored. The syringe may be designed to incorporate surgical navigation and laparoscopic systems.
Device and method for storing and mixing bone cement
One aspect relates to a device for mixing a polymethyl methacrylate bone cement formed of two starting components and for storing the starting components of the bone cement. The device has a tubular cartridge with a cylindrical interior. A powder is contained in a front of the cartridge and a container containing a monomer liquid is arranged in a rear of the cartridge. A discharge piston is arranged between the container and the powder, and a conveying piston is on the side of the container opposite the discharge piston. The discharge piston and the conveying piston are arranged in the interior of the cartridge movably in the longitudinal direction. A conduit is provided that connects the front part and the rear part of the interior of the cartridge to one another in a manner permeable for the monomer liquid and for gases and which is impermeable for the powder.
BIOMATERIAL DISPENSING DEVICE
A device for dispensing biomaterial includes a handle configured to receive a syringe, the syringe including a biomaterial and a threaded plunger, and an engagement pin retained within the handle and slidable between a first position and a second position. The engagement pin is configured to engage the threaded plunger in the first position, the engagement pin is further configured to disengage from the threaded plunger in the second position.
METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR THE TREATMENT OF DEGENERATE BONE
The present disclosure relates to methods and compositions for the treatment of degenerate bone in a patient. In some embodiments, the methods and compositions disclosed herein are useful in the treatment, prevention, or in delaying the progression of a bone disease linked to bone degeneration, such as osteoarthritis (“OA”), rheumatoid arthritis, and avascular necrosis.
SURGICAL INJECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A surgical injection device includes at least one tubular element defining a passageway. The passageway is configured for disposal of a selected volume of an agent and an evacuator disposed within the passageway. An actuator is engageable with the evacuator to entirely expel the selected volume of the agent from the passageway to a selected site. Spinal constructs, implants, systems and methods are disclosed.
Bone graft delivery system and method for using same
A bone graft delivery system can include an elongate tube and a handle having a trigger and a ratcheting mechanism. The trigger is actuated to deliver bone graft material through the tube. The bone graft delivery system can further include a distal tip at a distal end of the tube. The tip has one or more openings to deliver the bone graft material to a desired location and includes a surface suitable to act as a rasp for decorticating bone. A method for delivering bone graft material to a desired surgical location includes providing a bone graft delivery device, positioning the device adjacent the surgical location, decorticating bone, and delivering bone graft material to the surgical location.
