SCREW DRIVER AND COMPLIMENTARY SCREWS
Disclosed screwdrivers may include a rotatable drive shaft having a drive portion disposed at a distal end thereof, and a drive end disposed at a proximal end thereof. Disclosed screwdrivers may include an angled tip portion that is angled with respect to the longitudinal direction, and a mechanism configured to transfer a rotational force applied to the drive portion of the drive shaft through the angled tip portion to the drive end of the drive shaft. Disclosed screwdrivers may include an elastic retaining clip configured to have a bone screw securely attached therein at a clipping force and progressively release the bone screw therein at an extraction force. Disclosed screwdrivers may include at least one spring contacting the elastic retaining clip and the angled tip portion that is configured to facilitate the progressive release of the bone screw.
EXPANDABLE INTER-BODY DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD
The present disclosure provides for spinal implants deployable between a contracted position and an expanded position. The spinal implant may include a first endplate and a second endplate, each having a plurality of guide walls and inclined ramps. The spinal implant may further include a moving mechanism having first and second trolleys configured to act against the first and second plurality of ramps. The expansion mechanism may further include a first set screw and a second set screw opposite the first set screw. The moving mechanism may be configured to operably adjust a spacing between the first and second endplates upon simultaneous rotation of the first and second set screws along a rotation axis, and may also operably adjust an angle of inclination between the first and second endplates upon rotating the first set screw or second set screw along the rotation axis.
IMPLANTABLE COMPRESSION SCREWS
A compression screw for applying compression at a bone joint. The compression screw includes an axial screw body extending from a distal end to a proximal end with the distal end including a series of bone engaging threads configured to be self-drilling and self-tapping and the proximal end including a head which defines a radially extending shoulder. At least one proximal rotary cutting structure is defined proximally of the bone engaging threads. The at least one proximal rotary cutting structure is configured to be self-drilling such that a proximal portion of the axial screw body cuts into and advances within a bone of the bone joint as the axial screw body is advanced. A method of inserting the compression screw is also provided.
BONE FUSION DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHODS
The present disclosure includes implant systems, devices, implants, guides, instruments and methods of use. The insertion guide including a base member having a first opening with a first trajectory and a second opening with a second trajectory, a connecting member having a first end and a second end, wherein the first end is coupled to the base member and a locking block coupled to the second end of the connecting member. The locking block has a first guide hole and a second guide hole. The implant including a body including a first hole at a first end of the body, a second hole at a second end of the body, and a locking opening positioned between the first hole and the second hole. Methods of using the implant systems are also disclosed.
ORTHOPEDIC ANCHOR AND SURGICAL TOOL INTEGRATED WITH ANCHOR FASTENING MEMBER
A surgical tool having an integrated orthopedic anchor and an anchor coupler are proposed. When an anchor (100) is coupled and fixed to an anchor coupling portion (220) of an anchor coupler (200), arc recesses (130a) formed in through-holes (130) and arc recesses (221a) formed at an anchor coupling portion (220) are fitted to each other, so suture insertion holes (20) aligned with holes in the anchor coupling portion (220) and having wide inlets are formed and a suture (10) may be easily connected. Further, when the anchor coupler (200) is rotated and pressed in surgery, the protruding front ends (221) separated at the anchor coupling portion (220) and protruding through the through-holes (130) at both sides of the front end of the anchor body (110) bore a bone tissue while covering an outer surface of the front end portion of the anchor (100).
Bone screw and tool for use therewith
A bone screw comprises a main body including a shank portion, a head portion attached to the shank portion, and a cap moveably attached to the head portion. The head portion includes a tool interface structure therein having a closed end portion, an open end portion and sidewall extending therebetween. A tool lock recess is provided in at least one of the sidewalls of the tool interface structure. The tool interface structure is accessible through an opening within an exterior surface of the cap.
Surgical instrument and method
A surgical instrument having a first member engageable with a first end of a fastener having a second end configured to penetrate tissue. A second member includes an expandable member configured for engaging the first end. Systems and methods are disclosed.
Active Compression Apparatus, Methods Of Assembly And Methods Of Use
Compression devices for joining tissue and methods for using and fabricating the same.
Self-retaining fastener and driver
A provisional engagement feature for selectively connecting a fastener such as a screw to a driving tool, the fastener incorporating a head with a recess extending therein and a projection contained within the recess for engagement with a corresponding engagement feature and/or selective locking feature of the driving tool.
