A treatment instrument is that a maximum dimension of the loop portion in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal axis in a state where half of a total length of the loop portion in a direction of the longitudinal axis of the loop portion is pulled into the sheath is 40% to 60% of a maximum dimension of the loop portion in the orthogonal direction in a state where the whole loop portion protrudes from a distal end of the sheath.

EXPANDABLE DEVICES, RAIL SYSTEMS, AND MOTORIZED DEVICES
20190060011 · 2019-02-28 ·

Provided herein are expandable devices, rail systems, and motorized devices. In one embodiment, an expandable device comprises an expandable sac having a tool housed therein. The expandable device is optionally configured for operation while inside a body cavity. The expandable device optionally comprises at least one rail in the sac, and at least one railed device coupled to the rail for movement there on. Movement of the railed device on the rail is provided by, for example, a motor such as an electromagnetic motor or an inch-worm type motor. Expandable devices can be used, for example, to perform minimally invasive medical procedures requiring access to a body cavity. Expandable devices can also be used, for example, to provide safe and stable transport of instruments to the body cavity.

SNARE ASSEMBLY PORTION, AN ENDOSCOPIC CATHETER ASSEMBLY AND A METHOD FOR UTILIZING THE SAME

Disclosed herein is a snare (transparent cap) for removing a polyp which includes a stalk and a head connected to the stalk, wherein the snare includes: a body having a hollow tubular shape and an interior of which is partitioned into a plurality of chambers; a ring mounted to at least part of the body using elasticity; a first snare discharged outside the body through a first chamber among the plurality of chambers and hooks the stalk; and a second snare which is discharged outside the body through a second chamber among the plurality of chambers, wherein when the stalk is spread according to pulling the first snare that hooks the stalk, and the second snare pulls a first portion in a lower end of the stalk as spread including the head, the ring is discharged from the body and shrinks through the elasticity and then fixes the first portion.

Method of amputating and morcellating a uterus

A method of amputating and morcellating a uterus (10) includes introducing a first tissue bag (1) into the abdomen of the patient, and placing the first tissue bag over the uterus. A laparoscopic surgical instrument (11) is introduced into the first tissue bag, and the uterus (10) is amputated using the laparoscopic surgical instrument. The first tissue bag (1) is closed around the amputated uterus, and the first tissue bag containing the amputated uterus is placed into a second tissue bag (20). A morcellating instrument is introduced into the second tissue bag (20) and the uterus is morcellated within the second tissue bag. Once the uterus (10) has been morcellated, the second tissue bag (20) containing the morcellated uterus is removed from the abdomen of the patient.
