SNARE

Disclosed herein is a snare. The snare includes: a tube injected into a body; a wire movably inserted into the tube; a noose joined to a leading end of the wire and ablating a polyp as an internal area expands or contracts by passing through an end of the tube; and at least one identification marker formed along the noose.

TISSUE EXCISION, CUTTING, AND REMOVAL SYSTEMS AND METHODS

The disclosure provides various embodiments of catheters having articulable ends that can be used for various procedures. Embodiments of methods are also provided that can be performed with catheters in accordance with the present disclosure.

EXTRACTION DEVICES CONFIGUED TO EXTRACT CHRONICALLY IMPLANTED MEDICAL DEVICES

Extraction devices for extracting chronically implanted devices such as leadless cardiac pacemakers (LCP). In some cases, the extraction devices may be configured to cut or tear through at least some of the tissue ingrowth around and/or over the chronically implanted device such that a retrieval feature on the chronically implanted device may be grasped for removal of the chronically implanted device.

CHRONICALLY IMPLANTABLE MEDICAL DEVICES CONFIGURED FOR EXTRACTION AND EXTRACTION DEVICES FOR EXTRACTING CHRONICALLY IMPLANTED MEDICAL DEVICES

Extraction devices for extracting chronically implanted devices such as leadless cardiac pacemakers (LCP). In some cases, the extraction devices may be configured to cut, tear or ablate through at least some of the tissue ingrowth around and/or over the chronically implanted device such that a retrieval feature on the chronically implanted device may be grasped for removal of the chronically implanted device. Implantable medical devices such as LCPs may include features that facilitate their removal.

MEDICAL DEVICE HANDLE AND METHOD OF USE

A handle assembly includes a drive wire coupled to an expandable end effector, the wire having a diameter of no more than 3 French and a handle cannula receiving the wire therethrough, rotation of the handle cannula transferring torque to rotate the wire. The assembly also includes a shaft receiving the handle cannula, rotation of the shaft transferring torque to rotate the handle cannula. The assembly further includes an actuation assembly receiving the shaft, the actuation assembly coupled to a sheath sized to receive the wire and end effector therethrough, the actuation assembly moveable between a proximal configuration in which the sheath is moved proximally to expand the end effector and a distal configuration in which the sheath is moved distally to retract the end effector, the actuation assembly including a rotation mechanism transferring torque to the shaft to rotate the shaft.

MEDICAL INSTRUMENT

There is provided a medical instrument achieving a simple and efficient configuration. The medical instrument includes: an elongated part formed in a linear or tubular shape, at least a part of which is inserted into a living body; and an alloy part provided in the elongated part and formed from an alloy containing titanium and tantalum.

Devices and methods for the removal of lenticular tissue

An exemplary surgical device includes a shaft with a lumen defined therethrough and an element movable from a stored position to a deployed position in which a larger portion of the element extends out of the distal end of the lumen; wherein motion from the stored position to the deployed position causes a first leg of the element to advance distally relative to the distal end of the shaft, and causes a second leg of the element to move proximally relative to the distal end of the shaft.

CORING AND AMPUTATION DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS

A method for removing tissues may comprise disposing a tissue resection device at a target tissue site, causing the tissue resection device to resect a core of tissue from the target tissue site, removing the core of tissue from the body, wherein the removing the core of tissue from the body creates a core cavity at the target tissue site.

TISSUE DILATION AND RESECTION SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A dilation assembly comprises an expandable and contractible main body having a corrugated outer surface, a guide cannula configured to be disposed through the main body to guide a movement of the main body, and an anchor configured to fix the main body in a target position.

ELECTROSURGICAL SNARE DEVICE
20170245909 · 2017-08-31 ·

An electrosurgical snare device is provided which uses a flow of inert gas to assist in the cutting and sealing process of tissue, while substantially reducing the formation of eschar and collateral tissue damage. The electrosurgical device includes a housing having a longitudinal axis; a support shaft attached to a distal end of the housing, and an end effector coupled to a distal end of the support shaft. The end effector includes a tube including a plurality of apertures and an electrically conducting spring disposed around the tube, where a spacing of the coils of the spring coincides with a spacing of the plurality of apertures, wherein a gas assisted electrosurgical effect is formed at each of the plurality of apertures when an inert gas flows through the tube and the spring is energized. The tube may be configured as a loop or snare.
