The present disclosure relates generally to oral health products, such as electric toothbrushes. In one example, the electric toothbrush includes a housing, an output shaft positioned within and extending out of the housing, a magnetic assembly positioned within the housing and configured to impart an oscillation motion to the output shaft, and a spring positioned within the housing. The spring includes a first end non-rotatably coupled to the housing and a second end non-rotatably coupled to the output shaft, such that the spring twists as the magnetic assembly oscillates the output shaft to amplify the oscillation motion of the output shaft generated by the magnetic assembly.

The toothbrush may include a handle including an end surface, a brush shaft extending from the end surface of the handle, a drive assembly positioned within the handle and causing the brush shaft to oscillate upon actuation of a motor, a brush tip removably coupled to the brush shaft and positioned adjacent to the end surface of the handle, and a fluid passage defined within the drive assembly within the handle. The brush tip may include a fluid conduit therein. Oscillation of the brush shaft may cause the entire brush tip to oscillate correspondingly. Fluid may be transported through the drive assembly and to the fluid conduit of the brush tip by the fluid passage.

Spring mechanism for power device

A spring mechanism for attaching to a power device drive unit includes a housing connectable to a portion of the power device and a shaft extending through the housing. One end of the shaft is coupled to a workpiece and a bottom member extends from the other end and is positioned adjacent the drive unit. The bottom member includes at least one of a ferromagnetic material and a permanent magnet. The bottom member, shaft and workpiece move upon actuation of the drive unit, and a spring extends laterally outwardly from the shaft between the shaft and the housing. The spring is affixed to one of the shaft and the housing, wherein the spring bends between a deformed position and a return position upon the movement of the bottom member.

Pressing the third switch, which is pressed by the transmission shaft when inclined with respect to the main body in a third flexion direction, causes rotation of the rotating element in the first or second rotation direction.

The present invention relates to a rotating electric toothbrush comprising: a main body having a receiving space formed therein, a driving means received in the interior of the main body and providing a rotational force, a toothbrush handle having one end detachably coupled to the driving means, and receiving a rotational force of the driving means to be rotated, a support means coupled to the outer peripheral surface of the other end of the toothbrush handle and having plate-shaped support bodies made of a ductile material and radially formed to be spaced apart from each other, and a plurality of toothbrush bristles implanted between the support bodies. The present invention has a structure in which the toothbrush bristles are radially implanted on the outer peripheral surface of the end of the cylindrical rotating toothbrush handle, thereby removing food leftovers sandwiched on a tooth surface or at an interdental gap without damage of gums, and more surely removing dental plaque from the tooth surface due to silicon bristles implanted between the toothbrush bristles. Further, the silicon bristles implanted between the toothbrush bristles support the toothbrush bristles, thereby preventing deformation of the toothbrush bristles, and a space for receiving toothpaste is formed between the silicon bristles, thereby preventing the toothpaste from easily slipping off. Further, a tongue cleaner, which is detachable and made of a silicon material, is further comprised, thereby easily cleaning a tongue.

A personal care appliance (10) comprises a handle (12), an attachment (14), and a controller (16). The handle (12) includes an actuator (20) and drive shaft (22). The attachment (14) further includes a mass-spring identifiable assembly (40) having at least one identifiable resonant frequency in response to a given excitation, wherein the at least one identifiable resonant frequency comprises a resonant frequency selected from at least two different resonant frequencies. The controller (16) is configured to control the attachment (14), via the actuator (20), over a predefined range of frequencies that includes the given excitation. The controller (16) is further configured, in at least a detection mode, to uniquely recognize the attachment (14) via detecting a presence of the at least one identifiable resonant frequency of the mass-spring identifiable assembly (40) of the attachment (14) in response to the given excitation.
