CLEANING APPLIANCE

A dental cleaning appliance includes a handle and a fluid delivery system. The fluid delivery system includes a nozzle for delivering a burst of working fluid to the teeth of a user. The nozzle moves relative to the handle as the appliance is moved along the teeth of the user. A sensor provides an output which varies with movement of nozzle relative to the handle. A control circuit actuates the delivery of working fluid to the teeth of the user depending on the output from the sensor. The control circuit is configured to adjust a parameter of the delivery to the teeth of the user, such as the volume of working fluid within a delivery, depending on the variation with time of the output from the sensor.

CLEANING APPLIANCE

A dental cleaning appliance includes a handle and a fluid delivery system. The fluid delivery system includes a nozzle for delivering a burst of working fluid to the teeth of a user. A contact member for engaging the teeth of the user is moveable relative to the nozzle as the appliance is moved along the teeth of the user. A sensor provides an output which varies with movement of contact member relative to the nozzle. A control circuit actuates the delivery of working fluid to the teeth of the user depending on the output from the sensor.

DEVICE FOR BRUSHING THE TEETH, HAVING MULTIPLE BRUSHES WITH ROTARY AND/OR OSCILLATING MOTION
20180110602 · 2018-04-26 · ·

A device for brushing teeth having multiple brushes that provide rotary and/or oscillating motion. The device has a right lateral brush, a left lateral brush, and an upper brush. Each of the three brushes is connected to, and driven by, a respective supporting rod. Each of the supporting rods is driven by a respective gear. The device includes a motor or engine for generating rotational movement which is transferred to each of the gears by a transmission. The transmission is configured to simultaneously provide both rotary and lateral movement to the brushes, thereby creating an oscillating motion.

Electric linear actuator and output shaft vibration-type electric device with said electric linear actuator

An electric linear actuator includes a fixed block, an output movable block, a counter movable block, a projecting side coupling member, a retracting side coupling member, a block coupling member, and an output functional member. The output movable block and the counter movable block are configured to be reciprocated in the movable direction in opposite phases by electromagnetic force acting between the fixed block and the output and counter movable blocks. The projecting side coupling member is coupled to the output movable block and the counter movable block. The retracting side coupling member is coupled to the output movable block and the counter movable block. The projecting side coupling member and the retracting side coupling member have different shapes.

PIEZOELECTRIC DRIVE
20250000629 · 2025-01-02 ·

In a handle for a personal care appliance, a drive unit includes a piezoelectric drive (100) for generating an oscillating movement. The piezoelectric drive includes a piezoelectric element (120) having first and second ends, in which a change in length in an X-direction occurs upon electrical activation, so that a distance between the first and second ends changes. A first end of a spring bracket (110) is affixed to a first end of the piezoelectric element and a second end of the spring bracket is affixed to the second end of the piezoelectric element, whereby the change in length of the piezoelectric element in the X-direction is converted into a first bracket stroke in a Y-direction. A connecting element (130) is configured to transmit the oscillating movement to the personal care device and is attached in a central region of the spring bracket for tapping the first bracket stroke.

BIDIRECTIONAL MAGNETIC LEVITATION BRUSH MOTOR DEVICE

Disclosed herein is a bidirectional magnetic levitation brush motor device, including a motor housing, a motor shaft and an end cover, wherein the end cover is arranged at a bottom end of the motor housing, shaft holes are formed in axes of the motor housing and the end cover, the motor shaft is arranged between the two shaft holes, bearings are arranged at junctions of the motor shaft with the motor housing and the end cover, the end of the motor shaft that is away from the end cover extends out of the motor housing, and a transmission connection shaft is arranged at a top end of the motor shaft. With regard to the present invention, movement transmission is achieved by means of an electromagnetic effect, and mounting of elastic structures such as a torsion bar and the like is no longer needed.

Power toothbrush with multiple bristle motions producing an audible sound
09844260 · 2017-12-19 · ·

A power toothbrush includes a handle having a driving system therein. The driving system is responsive to two drive signals. One drive signal produces a clinically effective cleansing action for the teeth, while the other drive signal is arranged to produce audible sounds from the toothbrush which are cognitively stimulating or relaxing.

Power toothbrush with a modulated drive signal

A power toothbrush includes a handle portion having a drive system therein for moving a set of bristles with a frequency and amplitude to produce clinically effective cleaning results. A modulation system modulates the drive signal by changing the frequency or duty cycle of the drive signal with a frequency varying modulation signal. The modulation frequency will increase from the start to the conclusion of a brushing event for cognitive stimulation while the modulation frequency will decrease between the start and conclusion of a brushing event for cognitive relaxation.
