Power toothbrush with multiple bristle motions producing an audible sound
A power toothbrush includes a handle having a driving system therein. The driving system is responsive to two drive signals. One drive signal produces a clinically effective cleansing action for the teeth, while the other drive signal is arranged to produce audible sounds from the toothbrush which are cognitively stimulating or relaxing.
Power toothbrush with a tunable brushhead assembly system
A power toothbrush appliance (10) and a method for tuning a brushhead assembly system (41) thereof. The appliance includes a handle portion (16), a drive assembly and a brushhead assembly system (41). The drive assembly includes a DC motor (34) and an eccentric coupling (46) which drives the brushhead assembly system by means of a yoke mechanism. The brushhead assembly system includes a beam portion (50) which moves laterally about a pivot (47). A brushhead (12) is attachable to and removable from a distal end of the beam. The beam is tunable by changing the stiffness thereof, or the length thereof, or the cross-sectional moment thereof, in order to control the resonant frequency of the brushhead assembly system relative to the drive frequency of the appliance to maintain the amplitude of the brush member within a range of 1.0-2.5 mm, preferably 1.75 mm.
ELECTRIC TOOTHBRUSH, AND TRANSMISSION FOR AN ELECTRIC TOOTHBRUSH
The transmission according to the invention for an electric toothbrush serves for the transmission and reforming of a rotational movement provided by an electric motor into a particularly careful and effective cleaning movement of a cleaning element. The ratio of the distance between the longitudinal mid-axis of an output shaft and the longitudinal mid-axis of a drive shaft of the transmission and of the distance between the longitudinal mid-axis of a shaft driving a cam of the transmission and the longitudinal mid-axis of the cam amounts to at least 10:1.
ORAL HYGIENE SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Apparatus, systems, and methods are disclosed for improved oral hygiene with reduced cleaning time required. The systems, methods, and apparatus disclosed in accordance with embodiments of the present invention comprises an attachment brush head that when attached to existing powered toothbrushes is capable of cleaning all tooth surfaces of upper and lower teeth simultaneously in compliance with effective brushing technique. In addition, the system and apparatus disclosed in accordance with embodiments of the present invention provides adjustable bristle angle and pressure in addition to adjustable brush head spacing, to avoid damage from excessive pressure to soft tissue, while ensuring sufficient bristle pressure for effective cleaning even with varying tooth thickness.
Electric toothbrush, and transmission for an electric toothbrush

The ratio of the distance between the longitudinal mid-axis of an output shaft and the longitudinal mid-axis of a drive shaft of the transmission and of the distance between the longitudinal mid-axis of a shaft driving a cam of the transmission and the longitudinal mid-axis of the cam amounts to at least 10:1.
Mouthpiece for a dental cleaning system and the dental cleaning system
The invention provides a mouthpiece for dental cleaning system and the dental cleaning system itself. The mouthpiece has a base and inner and outer arches. An actuator is for applying motion to the inner arch and/or the outer arch, relative to the base. A coupling arrangement converts motion of one of the inner and outer arches in one direction relative to the base to motion in an opposite direction relative to the base of the other of the inner and outer arches. By forming the mouthpiece as a central stationary base enveloped by two contour-following and moving arches, an anti-phase brushing motion at opposite tooth sites along the tooth arch is enabled, giving increased reach toward the molars as well as a reduction in device vibration in the mouth.
ELECTRIC TOOTHBRUSH
The present disclosure provides an electric toothbrush, comprising: a support frame provided with a hollow part; a drive frame, wherein the drive frame is elastically connected to the support frame, the drive frame is located in the hollow part, the drive frame and the support frame are spaced apart, the drive frame has a drive shaft connector for connecting a toothbrush head; and a motor, wherein the motor is provided on the drive frame, the motor is able to drive the drive frame to swing or vibrate relative to the support frame during operation, so that the drive shaft connector can drive the toothbrush head to swing or vibrate.
