A powered toothbrush includes a handle, a power source disposed in the handle, a head including a cavity disposed at a distal end of the handle, an electrically conducting element disposed in the cavity and electrically connected to the power source, and a movable cleaning element connected to the head and movable relative to the cavity. The movable cleaning element includes a tooth cleaning support member, a tooth cleaning element mounted on the support member, and a ferromagnetic member. Application of an electrical current to the electrically conducting element generates a magnetic field at the electrically conducting element. The magnetic field selectively at least one of attracts and repels the ferromagnetic member to move the movable cleaning element relative to the electrically conducting element.

A brush includes a head and a body. The head includes bristles, a diaphragm, and a vibration source attached to the diaphragm. The head is attached to the body. The body includes a circuit configured to supply to the vibration source a supply signal including a non-discrete signal in the audible range.

Disclosed is an electric toothbrush including a head and a handle having a shape couplable to the head and configured to supply a driving voltage to the head according to a user's control. The head includes a toothbrush head in which bristles and first and second electrodes spaced apart from each other are disposed, a head body extending from the toothbrush head, first and second connection lines disposed in the head body and connected from the toothbrush head to the first and second electrodes respectively, a head cover configured to close an end of the head body, and first and second connection pins respectively connected to the first and second connection lines and having portions externally exposed through the head cover.

A brush device for an ultrasonic scaler includes: a base having a first end and an opposite second end, the first end and the second end define a longitudinal axis of the base; an insert housing extending from the first end of the base, the insert housing defines an opening sized and shaped to receive a distal end of the ultrasonic scaler and secure the brush device thereto; and a cleaning element extending from the second end of the base, the cleaning element is substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis.

A vibrating toothbrush is provided with vibration-isolating zones that substantially isolate vibrations in the head and reduce vibrations transmitted to the handle without sacrificing structural integrity around the vibration-isolation zones. Such zones may generally comprise neck material that is reduced in cross-section, thinned, replaced by dampening material, or removed altogether to create transmission-inhibiting voids. An oral care refill head and an oral care kit comprising the same. The oral care refill head may include a sleeve portion, a head portion, and an elastomeric prophy cup. The sleeve portion may have an inner surface that defines an internal cavity for receiving a portion of a stem of an oral care implement handle therein so that the oral care refill head can be repetitively attached to and detached from the oral care implement handle. The elastomeric prophy cup may comprise an outer surface that forms at least a portion of a peripheral side surface of the head portion. The elastomeric prophy cup may be formed by injection molding an elastomeric material onto a support portion of the head portion. The oral care refill head may be packaged together with a store of an anti-sensitivity oral care material to form a kit.

An oral care implement having electrodes thereon. In one aspect, the oral care implement may include a handle and a head, the head having a transverse through hole defined by an upper surface and a lower surface. A first electrode and a second electrode are located on the head and operably coupled to a power source to have opposite electrical charges. At least one of the first and second electrodes may be located on one of the upper and lower surfaces of the transverse through hole. In some embodiments, the first electrode is located on the upper surface of the transverse through hole and the second electrode is located on the lower surface of the transverse through hole.

A brush according to the present disclosure includes a head and a body. The head includes a bristle extending in a first direction. The body includes an actuator configured to expand and contract in a second direction intersecting the first direction, a connection member configured to transmit a vibration of the actuator to the head, and a housing that accommodates the actuator. The connection member includes a leg fixed to the housing.

A brush includes a head with bristles, an actuator that expands and contracts in accordance with an electric signal, a connection member that transmits vibration of the actuator to the head, and a body including a housing that houses the actuator. The direction of reciprocal vibration of the head is at a predetermined angle relative to the direction of extension of the housing.
