Modular bone screw for surgical fixation to bone
11723702 · 2023-08-15 ·

The invention discloses a modular surgical bone screw assembly having a threaded base portion and a screw head adapted to attach a variety of structures to bone. The features of the screw include a modular design for the assembly that separates the function of anchorage to the recipient bone to one of the modules of the device (threaded portion) from the other function of attaching another element (such as bone block, membrane, orthodontic wires, elastics etc) to a second module (the screw head). The design also allows the head to be exchanged after the implant has been placed.

Provided herein are systems, methods and apparatuses for an eyelet interference screw and affixation of an implant to tissue employing the eyelet interference screw.

LIGAMENT FIXATION SYSTEM, IMPLANTS, DEVICES, AND METHODS OF USE

Devices, systems, implants and methods for achieving ligament fixation are disclosed. An implant includes a head member and an anchor member coupled to the head member. The implant includes tension member that couples the head member to the anchor member. The head member and the anchor member include a cannulation that receives the tension member therein. The implant may include a coupling member positioned between and coupling the head member and the anchor member, the coupling member including a cannulation that receives the tension member therethrough. Insertion instruments for inserting an implant for ligament fixation are also disclosed. Methods of using an implant for achieving ligament fixation are also disclosed.

LIGAMENT REPAIR SYSTEM AND METHOD

Embodiments of the disclosure are directed to a ligament repair system and method. The ligament repair system may include one or more of a femoral aimer assembly, a tibial aimer assembly, a femoral fixation assembly, and a tibial fixation assembly.

DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR REPAIRING SOFT TISSUE AND ATTACHING SOFT TISSUE TO BONE

Devices, systems and/or methods for repairing soft tissue adjacent a soft tissue repair site. In one embodiment, a repair device includes an anchor member, a capture member and one or more flexible members. The anchor member includes a base with at least four legs extending integrally from the base, the at least four legs configured to be moveable from a straight first position to a formed second position. The capture member is configured to be coupled to the anchor member such that the at least four legs of the anchor member move around structural portions of the capture member with the at least four legs of the anchor member in the formed second position. The one or more flexible members are coupled to the base of the anchor member, the one or more flexible members extending at least partially along the base of the anchor member.

Tenodesis anchor

A tenodesis anchor having an anchor member coupled to at least one fiber loop. The anchor member is inserted into a bone and the loop closed about a tendon to be anchored to the bone. Closing the loops additionally deforms the anchor member so that it remains within the bone, thereby securing the tendon trapped in the loop to the bone without the use of a staple.

DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR DELIVERY OF A TISSUE FIXATION DEVICE

Systems and methods for fixating a graft in a bone tunnel are provided. In general, the system includes a tissue fixation device having a delivery configuration and a deployed configuration, at least one graft retention loop coupled to the tissue fixation device, and a drill pin having a sidewall surrounding a cavity at a proximal end of the pin and at least one longitudinally oriented opening in the sidewall in communication with the cavity, the cavity being configured to fully seat the tissue fixation device. The drill pin is configured to substantially contain therein the tissue fixation device when in the delivery configuration and to enable deployment of the tissue fixation device through the opening. Drill pins configured to contain a tissue fixation device are also provided.

DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR REPAIRING SOFT TISSUE AND ATTACHING SOFT TISSUE TO BONE

Devices, systems and/or methods for fixating soft tissue to bone are provided. In one embodiment, a repair device for fixating soft tissue to bone with a bone anchor includes a soft tissue anchor and one or more flexible members. The soft tissue anchor includes a base with multiple legs extending from the base. The one or more flexible members are coupled to the base and configured to extend from the base to the bone anchor with a fixed length. With this arrangement, the fixed length of the one or more flexible members is configured to maintain a substantially fixed pre-determined distance between the soft tissue anchor and the bone anchor such that, as the bone anchor is seated into bone, the one or more flexible members pulls the soft tissue anchor down against the soft tissue to fixate the soft tissue to the bone.

SUTURE CONSTRUCT AND METHOD OF TISSUE FIXATION

An adjustable fixation system for coupling a tissue or graft to bone is disclosed including a suture construct including a first limb, a second limb and a body therebetween. The body is continuously braided with the first and second limbs and has a longitudinal passage therethrough. The first and second limbs define a braided portion including a braided core. The suture construct is configured to form at least one adjustable loop formed by passing the first limb between braids of the suture construct, along the longitudinal passage and back out between braids of the adjustable suture construct. Tension on at least one of the first or second limbs reduces a diameter of the longitudinal passage around a length of the first limb and thereby the braided core disposed along the body longitudinal passage and knotlessly locks the adjustable loop.

DEVICE FOR INTERFACING FILAMENTOUS OR FIBROUS STRUCTURES WITH A REAL OR SIMULATED BIOLOGICAL TISSUE

A device for interfacing at least one filamentous structure, with real or simulated biological tissue and a system for regeneration, repair, replacement, or simulation of tendon and/or ligamentous tissue. The device comprises one or more bodies for anchoring a filamentous structure. The one or more bodies may include at least one capstan for wrapping the filamentous structure, and at least one porous portion having a trabecular structure. The system comprises the device and at least one filamentous structure having a plurality of nanofiber assemblies that are obtained by electrospinning. The plurality of assemblies may be arranged to form a single bundle, with the bundle being wrapped to the capstan.
