This invention relates to novel oral care devices that are based upon alternated magnetic polarity magnetic elements built into oral care devices, which provide very effective removal oral plaque, tooth tartar and oral bacteria.

The present invention relates to a brush assembly for cleaning metal, the assembly comprising one or more brush heads, each brush head comprising a bundle of conductive filaments, having a working end adapted for contacting metal, and a terminal end, the brush head connectable to an electricity supply, and a housing connected to and retaining at least one sheath, each sheath at least partially surrounding at least one brush head, wherein each brush head and its respective sheath are movable in relation to each other by operating an adjustment mechanism and the working end of the brush head and the sheath are selectively fixable in relation to each other.

A paint brush and method include a ferrule extending around and in contact with a plurality of bristles and a spacer apparatus positioned to space apart the plurality of bristles to provide at least one reservoir within the plurality of bristles. The spacer apparatus defines at least one opening extending through the spacer apparatus that allows fluid passage therethrough to the at least one reservoir to assist in removal of paint from the plurality of bristles when fluid is provided therein.

The invention relates to an applicator for a cosmetic product including a first part and a second part that extend along a longitudinal direction of extension from a proximal end towards a free distal end of the applicator, the first part and the second part being configured to form parts for applying the cosmetic product, one of the parts is mounted mobile in for translational with respect to the other of the parts, from at least a first retracted position, to a second deployed position, the first and second parts are configured to form together a variable volume reservoir, intended to contain the cosmetic product and that has a first volume when the parts occupy the first retracted position and a second volume when the parts occupy the second deployed position.

A composition dispensing device engages a body surface, such as the scalp, while simultaneously dispensing a composition from an attached container on the surface. The device detachably joins a container of a composition and enable uniform dispensing and application of the composition on a body surface. The device comprises a housing section that detachably joins with a container of composition. A platform section having a plurality of apertures rests coplanar with the housing section. A keying mechanism secures the platform section to the housing section. A plurality of conduits, or hollow bristles, extend from the platform section. The conduits include channels that are in communication with the housing section and the container of composition. The conduits are arranged as inner and outer conduits, with the outer conduits being slightly longer to create a generally concave effect. The conduits terminate at an angled tip portion that engages the body surface, while simultaneously dispensing the composition from terminal openings or lateral openings formed at the tip.

An oral care implement for dispensing an oral care agent includes a housing, reservoir therein containing an oral care fluid, and an electrical circuit comprising first and second electrodes connected to an onboard power source. Each electrode is in contact with the oral care fluid in the housing. An actuator, operably coupled to the power source, is configured to both selectively energize the circuit and activate dispensing of the oral care fluid. An electrical charge is applied to the oral care fluid by activating the actuator when dispensing the oral care fluid. When the fluid comprises a peroxide based tooth whitening agent, the dispensed fluid pH is increased by the electrical charge which improves the efficacy of the whitener. In one embodiment, the implement is a modular system including a powered base unit and one or more interchangeable cartridges each having a reservoir containing an oral care fluid.

A cosmetic unit having an applicator, comprising an applicator element, which is connected to a handle by means of a wand, and having a cosmetic receptacle, which contains a supply of cosmetic, and a wiper. In its ready position, the applicator element dips into the cosmetic receptacle and in the course of this, the handle of the applicator is secured to the cosmetic receptacle in such a way that it closes this receptacle tightly. The applicator can be brought into its use position by pulling the applicator element out of the cosmetic receptacle through the wiper, wherein at its distal end, the applicator element has a free end surface, which forms a central region, and the edges of the free end surface define an imaginary plane, which extends in an inclined fashion relative to the longitudinal axis of the wand or wand attachment at an acute angle of between 40 and 70. The central region has a flocking and is at least partially rimmed by at least one row of bristles.

A multi-lobated brush and sleeve assembly provides a brush having multiple types and sizes of hollow bristles, including a tetraocular filament, a round filament with tipped ends, and a quad filament. The brush as a handle that supports a plurality of independent mobile bristles. The bristles are arranged in a tapered, negative slope configuration having an edge tip defined by an apex. The edge tip surface section of bristles on the left side of the brush are stiffer, enabling cutting capacity and increased paint pickup. A reservoir in the handle contains paint, and feeds the paint through the hollow bristles to the distal free ends for smooth application of paint. A sleeve body may be used separately, or in combination with the brush. The sleeve body encircles the bristles, bunching the bristles together and forming a tapered, tear drop shape at the distal free end of the bristles.

End effectors and systems including end effectors including embedded batteries and auxiliary components powered by the batteries are described. In an example, the end effector includes a base portion coupleable to a motor carried by an appliance that is separate from the end effector; and a battery disposed in the base portion configured to power an auxiliary component of the end effector.
