Implantable nuclear prosthesis, kits, and related methods
The present disclosure includes devices, apparatuses, kits, and methods for replacing a nucleus pulposus of an intervertebral disc with an implantable nuclear prosthesis filled with a curable silicone material in situ. Configurations of the present spinal implant devices include a flexible body defining an outer fillable enclosure that defines an outer chamber, an inner fillable enclosure that defines an inner chamber, and a proximal plug configured to be coupled to the inner fillable enclosure.
Spinal interbody devices with density gradients and associated methods
An interbody device configured for insertion between adjacent vertebrae includes a body comprising and exterior surface and an interior surface defining a cavity. The body comprises a visualization window extending between the exterior surface and the interior surface, where the visualization window comprises a lattice of radiopaque structures. A density of the lattice in a central region of the visualization window is less than in the density of the lattice in an outer region of the visualization window such that the visualization window is radiolucent through the central region.
Systems and methods for spinal fusion
A system and method for spinal fusion comprising a spinal fusion implant of non-bone construction releasably coupled to an insertion instrument dimensioned to introduce the spinal fusion implant into any of a variety of spinal target sites, in particular into the thoracic region of the spine.
Adjustable trial for sizing a spinal implant
An adjustable trial for spinal implant sizing. The trial has a first and second plate that is adjustable between zero and degrees by use of continuously sloped edges that interface with a positioning band having reciprocal sloped edges. Protrusions are attached to each plate and the positioning band, the rotation of which is used to change the angle of the plates. A tool used to rotate the protrusions is marked with the angle of movement.
POSTERIOR PROSTHETIC INTERVERTEBRAL DISC
The disclosure provides an implant including first and second interconnected elongated articulating portions with vertebral contacting outer surfaces. The first and second interconnected elongated articulating portions have a first configuration for insertion into a disc space and a second configuration upon deployment in the disc space. In a first configuration the axes of the first and second interconnected elongated articulating portions are substantially axially aligned with each other and in a second configuration the axes of the portions are axially unaligned with each other. The first and second interconnected elongated articulating portions are configured to be deployed in situ from the first configuration to the second configuration by both pivoting. The implant is expandable in the height direction between the vertebral contacting outer surfaces while the implant is inside the disc space by sliding a portion of at least one of the first and second elongated articulating portions.
BONE FUSION DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD
A bone fusion method, system and device for insertion between bones that are to be fused together in order to replace degenerated discs and/or bones, for example, the vertebrae of a spinal column. The bone fusion device comprises a frame and one or more extendable plates that are able to be angled, rotatable, adjustable, and have top profiles designed to correct and/or match the replaced discs/bones. The bone fusion device is able to be inserted between or replace the vertebrae by using a minimally invasive procedure wherein the dimensions and/or other characteristics of the bone fusion device are selectable based on the type of minimally invasive procedure.
VERTEBRAL IMPLANTS AND METHODS FOR INSTALLATION THEREOF
Embodiments herein are generally directed to vertebral implants and implant trials for use with vertebral implant assemblies. In some embodiments, these implants and implant trials may be used in conjunction with corpectomy procedures.
INTERVERTEBRAL SPACER THAT DYNAMICALLY PROMOTES BONE GROWTH
A dynamic intervertebral spacer includes a ring which is split on an anterior portion. A posterior portion of the ring acts as a torsion spring. After implantation, the ring is able to act as a spring between superior and inferior vertebral bodies, thus allowing dynamic bone growth in fusion procedures.
INTERVERTEBRAL SPACER AND PLATE
Embodiments herein are generally directed to spinal implants, systems, apparatuses, and components thereof that can be used in spinal fusion and/or stabilization procedures, as well as methods of installation. The spinal implants may include an intervertebral spacer and a plate member.
LOW PROFILE PLATE
The present application generally relates to orthopedic systems, and in particular, to systems including independent plates and spacers. A plating system can include a spacer and a plate that is independent from the spacer. A number of locking mechanisms can be provided to secure the plate to the spacer. In some cases, the spacer includes a pair of notches that extend on an outer surface of the spacer. The plate can include a pair of lateral extensions that can engage the notches to secure the plate to the spacer. In other cases, the spacer includes an opening including a pair of inlets. The plate can include an enclosed posterior extension that can be received in the pair of inlets to secure the plate to the spacer.
