Dynamic intervertebral spacer implant
Intervertebral spacer implants with dynamic load spreading features responsive to external loads and having attachment mechanisms. The dynamic load spreading features having a native state and a loaded state, which complements vertebral end plate geometry and disperses load to the epiphyseal rim.
System for Articular Surface Replacement
A system for replacing a portion of an articular surface including providing an implant site and installing an implant into the implant site. The implant site includes a first and a second excision site which at least partially intersect with one another. Each of the first and second excision sites are formed by providing a respective axis and excising a portion of the articular surface relative to the respective axes.
Spinal implant system and method
A spinal implant comprises an implant body extending between an anterior surface and a posterior surface, and including a first vertebral engaging surface and a second vertebral engaging surface. The implant body includes an inner surface that defines at least one opening oriented to implant a fastener oblique relative to a lateral axis of a subject body and adjacent an intervertebral space of the subject body. The implant body defining a cavity such that a surgical instrument is connectable with the implant body adjacent the cavity and movable relative to the implant body. Systems, surgical instruments and methods are disclosed.
Interbody Implants and Optimization Features Thereof
A spinal interbody device (IBD) includes a solid wall that at least partially defines a boundary of the IBD and a porous body connected to the solid wall. The porous body includes a plurality of sections that form at least a portion of both a superior and inferior bone interface side of the IBD. Each section of the porous body has a different porosity than an adjacent section such that the porosities increase toward a center of the IBD.
SPINAL IMPLANTS AND RELATED INSTRUMENTS AND METHODS
Apparatus and systems relating to spinal implants and instruments for installing such implants. In some embodiments, the system may comprise a spinal implant, an inserter, an intermediary piece, and/or an installation rod. The spinal implant may comprise an at least partially threaded opening configured to receive the installation rod. The opening may be positioned within a fixed wall of the spinal implant, and the opening may comprise a peripheral edge defined by the wall of the spinal implant.
TISSUE SPARING IMPLANT
A femoral component of a hip implant, where the femoral component may be used specifically in a neck sparing resection and may include a shortened stem (with respect to a conventional stem) having a terminal flare portion for internally contacting a medial calcar portion of the proximal femur, and a significant curvature on its medial side. Other features of the femoral component include, flat side portions on the anterior and posterior sides of the stem, a lateral fin or a wing or T-back to aid in resisting torsional forces. The femoral component may also include a sagittal slot for proper fitting and placement in the femoral canal. The femoral component may also include a neck component that is modular with respect to the stem component. A head component, whether monoblock or modular with respect to the neck component, may also be utilized as part of the femoral component.
UNILATERAL MOVEABLE INTERBODY FUSION DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE
An interbody fusion device including a body member, at least one side member engaging the body member, and at least one movement mechanism that engages at least one side member and the body member. A surgical method for maintaining a space between two vertebral bodies in a spine, including the steps of obtaining a medical device, such as an interbody fusion device, and inserting and coupling an expansion tool into an opening within the medical device. The surgical method also including slidingly inserting the medical device into a space between two vertebral bodies and rotating the expansion tool to move the at least one side member in a direction relative to the body member. The method may further include detaching the expansion tool from the medical device and removing the tool from the space between the two vertebral bodies in the spine.
Trial radial head implant
A trial orthopedic implant having a plurality of bearing component augments of differing heights, where each augment releasably, slidably connected to the trial implant.
METHODS FOR LESS INVASIVE GLENOID REPLACEMENT
The invention features a glenoid (shoulder socket) implant prosthesis, a humeral implant prosthesis, devices for implanting glenoid and humeral implant prostheses, and less invasive methods of their use for the treatment of an injured or damaged shoulder.
Composite Vertebral Spacers and Instrument
An intervertebral fusion cage that is adapted to contain an inserter within its inner volume during insertion of the cage.
