BONE GRAFT DELIVERY DEVICE WITH POSITIONING HANDLE
20170238984 · 2017-08-24 ·

The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and method for near-simultaneous and integrated delivery of bone graft material and placement of surgical cages or other medical implants in a patient's spine. The integrated fusion cage and graft delivery device according to various embodiments delivers and disperses biologic material through a fusion cage to a disc space and, without withdrawal from the surgical site, may detach the fusion cage for deposit. The integrated fusion cage and graft delivery device is formed such that a hollow tube and plunger selectively and controllably place bone graft material and a fusion cage in or adjacent to the bone graft receiving area. In certain embodiments, the integrated fusion cage is an expandable integrated fusion cage.

Prosthetic intervertebral discs implantable by minimally invasive, posterior approach, surgical techniques
09737409 · 2017-08-22 · ·

Spinal implants are described that may be surgically implanted into the spine to replace damaged or diseased discs using a posterior approach. The implants are prosthetic devices that can approach or mimic the physiological motion and reaction of the natural disc. The implants are adapted to be used in minimally invasive surgical procedures.

CASE-LIKE DEVICE AND PROSTHETIC COMPONENT EQUIPPED WITH SUCH DEVICE
20220304809 · 2022-09-29 ·

Prosthetic component provided with a stem, adapted to be implanted in use at a bone of a patient, such as for example a tibial and/or femoral component of a knee prosthesis or a femoral component of a hip prosthesis or a humeral component of a shoulder prosthesis, or a component of an elbow prosthesis, including a device adapted to externally cover and/or to house at its interior at least the stem of the prosthetic component, wherein the device is in use placed between the prosthetic component and the bone of the patient, suitable to stably constrain in use the prosthetic component to the bone of the patient and to prevent the direct contact between prosthetic component and bone of the patient.

Modular stem extension

The modular stem component may include a shaft portion, a head, and a sleeve. The shaft portion is configured for receipt within the intramedullary canal of a bone and the head is configured to receive another component of a modular prosthetic system, such as a femoral neck, thereon. In one exemplary embodiment, the head extends radially around at least a portion of the stem and includes a rib defining a flange extending therefrom. The sleeve, which is formed as an independent part of the modular stem component and is made at least partially of a highly porous biomaterial, includes opposing ends and has a bore extending therethrough. The bore is configured to facilitate sliding receipt of the sleeve on the head.

STORAGE MEDIA FOR TISSUE ALLOGRAFTS
20170265455 · 2017-09-21 ·

A fresh tissue allograft having at least one tissue portion maintained above a predetermined temperature to reduce the rate of cell death. A storage media having at least one free-radical scavenger is applied to the allograft to further slow the rate of cell death.

Assembled implant

This invention is directed to an assembled implant comprising two or more portions of bone that are held together in appropriate juxtaposition with one or more biocompatible pins to form a graft unit. Preferably, the pins are cortical bone pins. Typically, the cortical pins are press-fitted into appropriately sized holes in the bone portions to achieve an interference fit. The bone portions are allograft or xenograft.

BONE GRAFT DELIVERY SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USE

A bone graft delivery system for delivering graft material into a surgical site. The delivery system includes an elongate hollow tube constructed to receive the bone graft material and having a hollow interior and indicia formed on an exterior surface of the elongate hollow tube. The delivery system also includes a plunger adapted to extend in the elongate hollow tube and to form a substantially congruent fit with the hollow interior of the elongate hollow tube such that the plunger is precluded from rotating within the elongate hollow tube. The plunger is adapted to urge bone graft material through the elongate hollow tube to deliver bone graft material through an opening thereof.

ORTHOPEDIC IMPLANT AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
20220233318 · 2022-07-28 ·

The application discloses an orthopedic implant and a manufacturing method thereof. The orthopedic implant has a porous structure body, which has a substrate and a plurality of spikes. The substrate is a porous structure. The plurality of spikes protrude from and are distributed on the outer surface of the substrate. The orthopedic implant in this application is more conducive to promote the growth of the human bones.

Bone graft and method of making and using same

A spinal bone graft includes one or more cortical bone portions forming a first unit. The first unit includes an engagement surface for contacting bone, and a mating surface. The mating surface forms at least one first undercut. The bone graft also includes one or more cortical bone portions forming a second unit. The second unit includes an engagement surface for contacting bone, and a mating surface. The mating surface forms either at least one second undercut, or at least one connector. In the former, at least one connector is received in each of the first and second undercuts to interconnect the first and second units. In the latter, the at least one connector of the second unit is received in the first undercut of the first unit to interconnect the first unit and second unit.

SHOULDER PROSTHESIS COMPONENTS AND ASSEMBLIES

Various embodiments disclosed herein relate to stemmed and stemless humeral anchors for use in shoulder arthroplasty procedures. For example, the humeral anchor can include a first end, a second end, and an interior surface extending between the first end and the second end. The interior surface can be disposed about a recess disposed between the first end and the second end. The recess can be configured to secure a coupling of a shoulder articular body directly to the interior surface.
