FEMORAL NECK-PRESERVING ARTIFICIAL HIP JOINT FEMORAL PROSTHESIS
The present disclosure comprises a ball head, a neck part, a cover body, and a fastener, wherein the cover body is in a shape of a thin-walled cup, including a cup buckled and embedded on the femoral neck left after the femoral head is removed and a circle of skirt plates attached to the lower edge of the cup to extend the covering range of the cup to the femoral neck and the intertrochanteric femur; a through hole for a cable to penetrating through is formed in the tail end of each skirt plate, and a limiting clip for limiting the cable for cerclage of the cup is arranged outside the skirt plate; and then stable rigid connection is conducted using a compression ring; and the fastener comprises a screw or an additional perforated steel plate and a cable which is fixed in a cerclage and tension manner.
Electronically assisted medical device
An electronically assisted artificial vertebral disc having an upper disc plate and a lower disc plate is disclosed. An actuator imparts movement to at least one of the upper and lower disc plates. A control device controls the actuator and the amount of movement between the disc plates. The actuator includes a plurality of either linear actuators or rotary actuators that are driven by electric motors in response to the control device. The control device includes at least a first sensor for detecting the position of the actuator and at least a second sensor for detecting the spatial orientation of at least one of the upper and lower disc plates. The control device also preferably includes a microprocessor that calculates the desired positions of the upper and lower disc plates and provides a control signal to the actuator to drive the upper and lower disc plates to their desired positions.

FIXATED INTERVERTEBRAL MESH IMPLANT AND METHOD
A mesh implant and/or container may be used as an intervertebral implant. The mesh implant may be anchored or otherwise fixed to the vertebral endplates to prevent the implant from migrating forward and out anteriorly to the spinal column. The mesh implant may be knitted with a rip stop, elastic or other stich pattern to prevent unraveling or tearing.
CEMENT PACKING KYPHOPLASTY SURGICAL DEVICE AND METHOD
Apparatus and associated methods relate to a balloon kyphoplasty surgical device comprising an extrusion tube having internal fluid channels and a support wire, a port arrangement positioned on a proximal end of the extrusion tube and a balloon arrangement positioned on a distal end of the extrusion tube, the balloon arrangement resulting in a cubic shape when inflated by the port arrangement. An exemplary implementation may be configured with multiple inner balloons housed in an outer balloon to create a specific shape. Some designs may be configured with multiple ports designed to individually and independently inflate each inner balloon and outer balloon. The outer balloon may be inflatable. The outer balloon may be sealed off, constraining inflation of the inner balloons to create a cubic-like shape when the inner balloons are inflated within the sealed outer balloon, resulting in improved vertebral structure stabilization by increased surface area lifting the bone.
System and method for repairing articular surfaces
A joint replacement system for repairing an articular surface of a first bone of a joint includes an anchor portion and an implant portion. The anchor portion includes an anchor to be secured to the bone, and an anchor fixation head including a bone-facing surface (BFS) extending radially outward from the anchor and an implant facing surface (IFS) extending from a periphery of the BFS. The implant portion is formed from a material (e.g., CoCr) more dense than the material of the anchor portion (e.g., Ti) and includes a fixation cavity to receive at least a portion of the anchor fixation head (AFH), the fixation cavity includes an anchor facing surface (AFS) configured to form a frictional connection with the IFS, and a load bearing surface having a contour for articulating against a cooperating articulating surface of a second bone of the joint.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR CORRECTING VERTEBRAL MISALIGNMENT
Devices and methods of correcting vertebral misalignment, including, e.g., spondylolisthesis, are disclosed. In one embodiment, a vertebral implant may include an assembly configured to be secured to a first vertebral body, wherein the assembly includes a frame made of a first material and at least one end plate made of a second material different than the first material; a reducing plate configured to be slidably received over the central portion, wherein the reducing plate is configured to be secured to a second vertebral body; and an actuator configured to move the reducing plate relative to the frame.
Shoulder arthroplasty systems and configurations for components thereof
Shoulder arthroplasty systems and configurations for components thereof are described. For example, implant systems for a total should arthroplasty (TSA), hemi shoulder arthroplasty, and reverse should arthroplasty (RSA) are described. In addition, exemplary configurations for baseplates, glenoid components, glenosphere components, humeral components, humeral head components, humerosocket components, connectors, and adaptors, are described.
VERTEBAL DISC REPAIR
The present disclosure includes apparatuses, systems, and methods for vertebral disc repair. An example apparatus includes a first surface including a concave opening configured to receive an artificial disc, a second surface, and an aperture extending through the first surface and the second surface, wherein the aperture is configured to receive a bone screw.
CLASSIFICATION OF NUCLEIC ACID TEMPLATES
