Disk fusion implant

An implant strip is disclosed. In some cases, the prosthesis can take the form of an implant strip that may be implanted through the use of a surgical procedure that minimizes incision sizes and may be considered less invasive than typical spinal implant procedures. The implant strip includes provisions for implantation, including teeth, spacing provisions, and various shapes.

Interspinous omnidirectional dynamic stabilization device

The present disclosure relates to an interspinous omnidirectional dynamic stabilization device, including a first fixing part, a second fixing part, a connecting structure and an elastic structure. The first fixing part and the second fixing part are fixedly connected to each other through the connecting structure and elastic structure. The bottoms of the first fixing part and the second fixing part are provided with one or more barbs. The elastic structure is made up of one or more U-shaped structures connected to each other. The first fixing part and the second fixing part are provided with fixing holes respectively.

An implant may include a body having a first portion and a second portion and a structural member having a central member curve. In addition, the structural member may be exposed on an outer surface of the implant. Further, the central member curve may include a winding segment, and the winding segment of the central member curve may wind around a fixed path extending from the first portion of the body to the second portion of the body. Also, the central member curve may make one or more full turns around the fixed path. And, the structural member may have a member diameter at the winding segment, wherein the winding segment has a winding diameter corresponding with the full turn around the fixed path and the member diameter is greater than the winding diameter.

Implant With Curved Bone Contacting Elements

An implant may include a body having a leading edge portion, a trailing edge portion, and an intermediate portion. The leading edge portion may include a substantially smooth surface forming a substantial majority of a leading edge surface and the trailing edge portion may include a monolithic structure including at least one receptacle configured to receive an insertion tool. The intermediate portion may include a plurality of elongate curved structural members continuously formed with at least one of the leading edge portion and the trailing edge portion. In addition, the elongate curved structural members may be configured such that the intermediate portion remains substantially rigid under compressive forces during insertion of the implant between bone surfaces of a patient. Also, the elongate curved structural members may include an elongate curved structural member extending longitudinally from the leading edge portion to the trailing edge portion and having a substantially sinusoidal configuration.

System and method for valve activation

A method for improving the function of a valve in the heart of a patient, comprising attaching, to a leaflet of the valve, an element that is responsive to a magnetic field; positioning, outside of the heart of the patient, a coil connected to a source of electric energy; activating the source of electric energy to provide an oscillating current in the coil; and thereby providing an oscillating magnetic field through the coil to effect movement of the element and the leaflet.

BONE STRUCTURAL DEVICE

A bone structural device including a plurality of bone structural segments, wherein adjacent bone structural segments are pivotally connected to one another about a pivot axis, and the bone structural segments are expandable in height, which is in a direction generally parallel to the pivot axis.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TREATMENT OF INTERVERTEBRAL DISC DERANGEMENTS
20200000603 · 2020-01-02 ·

Various embodiments provide systems and methods for repairing or replacing intervertebral discs as a treatment for derangements. Systems and methods may comprise an inter vertebral disc implant for deployment into an intervertebral disc space wherein the nucleus has been at least partially evacuated from the deranged intervertebral disc. The intervertebral disc implant may be intraoperatively and postoperatively filled and/or re-filled with a growth matrix. The intervertebral disc implant may be differentially permeable to the growth matrix to provide directional growth and/or diffusion of the growth matrix to restore height to the intervertebral disc space. Systems and methods may further comprise an implant delivery device for deploying the intervertebral disc implant into the intervertebral disc space.

POSTERIOR STABILIZED KNEE PROSTHESIS SYSTEM

A knee prosthesis system includes a set of femoral components of different sizes. Each femoral component has a pair of condyles defining an intercondylar notch and a posterior cam positioned in the notch. At least one of the condyles has a curved condyle surface with multiple radii of curvature. The system also includes a set of tibial components of different sizes. Each tibial component has a curved bearing surface with multiple radii of curvature and a post. Each size of femoral component is engageable to at least one size of tibial component to articulate by contact between the condyle surface and the bearing surface and/or by contact between the cam and the post. The radii of curvature of the condyle surface increase monotonically across increasing size of the femoral components, and the radii of curvature of the bearing surface increase monotonically across increasing size of the tibial components.

Implant with protected fusion zones

An implant for use in a spine includes a body and a plurality of structural members. The plurality of structural members includes outer members that are arranged to contact a vertebra upon implantation and support members that provide reinforcement and stability to the outer members. The outer members may have sections with a generalized helical geometry. The generalized helical geometry provides distal and proximal outwardly facing surface regions and creates a series of protected fusion zones along the superior and inferior surfaces of the implant to foster adjacent bone growth.
