SACROILIAC JOINT FUSION IMPLANTS
Bone implants, assemblies, and methods thereof. The implants may include non-threaded triangular implants configured to promote fixation and fusion of the sacroiliac joint. The implants may have a triangular body configured to prevent or minimize rotational motion of the implant. The implants may include an inner core or an outer shell, which provides structural support for a lattice structure. The structural geometry may be generated through topology optimization software, such as finite element analysis, based on anatomical loading conditions for the implant.
Expandable spinal implant system and method of using same
An expandable spinal implant includes a distal projection extending from only one side of the implant, ending in an anterior tip, the anterior portion and anterior tip defining an elongated distal end hook, which is wider than the proximal end. The distal end hook rotates around the spinal cord, aligning the implant with a desired pathway, then inserts into place in the disc space between the vertebrae. The elongated widened distal end hook provides a TLIF approach, distributes loads, provides anterior rim engagement, and creates lordosis.
EXPANDABLE SPINAL IMPLANT SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USING SAME
An expandable spinal implant includes a plug movably disposed in a distal aperture and an interior portion of a frame. The plug may be configured for movement from a first position to a second position. The plug may include a plug proximal end, an opposite plug distal end, a body portion, and a head portion extending from the body portion to the plug distal end. Movement of the plug from the first position to the second position, and corresponding interaction of a head portion with a first endplate portion may causes the first endplate portion and a first distal end portion to move away from the frame and interaction of the head portion with a second endplate portion may cause the second endplate portion and a second distal end portion to move away from the frame to move the implant from a collapsed position to an expanded position.
