DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CORRECTING SPINAL DEFORMITIES IN PATIENTS
Devices and related methods for the dynamic correction of spinal deformities are disclosed. The devices and methods are particularly useful for correcting an abnormal curvature of the spine. In one exemplary embodiment, a method for correcting deformity via a spinal implant that can include a polymer between or attached to a top and bottom plate, which can exist in a wedge-shaped configuration in order to apply asymmetric forces to the spinal column, is provided. The implant may be inserted between adjacent vertebrae comprising part of the abnormal curvature, thereby restoring the normal curvature of a spine.
LATERAL SPONDYLOLISTHESIS REDUCTION CAGE
An intervertebral fusion device comprising inferior and superior fusion cage devices that provide an ability to correct spondylolisthesis via in-situ adjustment.
ASYMMETRIC TIBIAL COMPONENTS FOR A KNEE PROSTHESIS
An orthopaedic tibial prosthesis includes a tibial baseplate with an asymmetric periphery which promotes proper positioning and orientation on a resected tibia, while also facilitating enhanced kinematics, soft-tissue interaction, and long-term fixation of the complete knee prosthesis. The asymmetric baseplate periphery is sized and shaped to substantially match portions of the periphery of a typical resected proximal tibial surface, such that proper location and orientation is evident by resting the baseplate on the tibia. The baseplate periphery provides strategically positioned relief and/or clearance between the baseplate periphery and bone periphery, such as in the posterior-medial portion to prevent deep-flexion component impingement, and in the anterior-lateral portion to avoid undue interaction between the anatomic iliotibial band and prosthesis components.
Spinal implant having a compressible insert
A spinal implant for insertion into and positioning in an intervertebral space is provided. The insert comprises a compressible support configured to change the height of the insert, wherein the insert comprises a first portion having a first surface and a compressible support adjacent to the first surface; and a second portion having a second surface and a second compressible support adjacent to the second surface. A method for fusing two adjacent vertebrae utilizing the spinal implant including the bone insert is also provided.
Small Joint Fixation
Disclosed is a medical device having a first implant portion having a proximal end, a second implant portion connected to the first implant portion, the second implant portion having a distal end, and a driver assembly removably connected to the distal end, the driver assembly comprising a drill connected to the distal end at a connection.
CANNULATED BONE IMPLANT
Various cannulated bone implants and methods of using the cannulated bone implant are disclosed. The cannulated bone implant can include a proximal portion, a proximal end, a distal portion, a distal end, a transition portion, a threaded portion, a finned portion and a central passage. The transition portion can comprise a bend positioned between the proximal portion and the distal portion. The threaded portion can be positioned along the proximal portion between the proximal end and the transition portion. The threaded portion can be configured to secure the implant into a bone of a patient. The finned portion can be positioned along the distal portion between the transition portion and the distal end. The finned portion can be configured to prevent migration and/or rotation of the implant in use. The central passage can extend linearly from the proximal end of the implant to the distal end of the implant.
Lateral spondylolisthesis reduction cage
An intervertebral fusion device comprising inferior and superior fusion cage devices that provide an ability to correct spondylolisthesis via in-situ adjustment.
Anatomical Wedge Implant
An osteotomy implant includes a first surface extending generally in a first plane and a second surface extending generally in a second plane, oblique to the first plane. The first surface has a perimeter having a first linear edge, a first curve edge connected to the first linear edge, a second linear edge connected to the first curved edge, and a second curved edge connected to the second liner edge.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CORRECTING SCOLIOSIS
A wedge has an outer perimeter and includes a top surface extending generally in a first plane and having a top osteointegration surface disposed thereon. A bottom surface extends in a second plane that extends obliquely with respect to the first plane. The first plane intersects the second plane outside the outer perimeter of the implant and includes a bottom osteointegration surface disposed thereon. A plurality of side surfaces extends between the top surface and the bottom surface and defines the outer perimeter, wherein at least a portion of the plurality of side surfaces is devoid of any osteointegration surface.
Systems and methods for ligament balancing in robotic surgery
Systems and methods for ligament balancing during robotic surgery. One or more transducers are positioned within a knee joint to detect forces indicative of tension in ligaments and to provide output based on the detected forces. A distraction device is used to provide a distraction force to cause movement of a distal end portion of a femur relative to a proximal end portion of a tibia to increase tension in the ligaments. Information associated with output from the transducers is displayed for viewing.
