HUMERAL TRAYS WITH TUBEROSITY AUGMENTS SUFFICIENTLY DESIGNED TO IMPROVE JOINT MECHANICS
Disclosed is a prosthetic augment designed to reconstruct a lateral tuberosity shape of a humerus in a subject having proximal bone loss that includes a humeral adapter tray configured to connect a humeral liner of a reverse shoulder prosthesis to a humeral stem of the reverse shoulder prosthesis and an augment member having a first face adapted for contacting the humeral stem of the reverse shoulder prosthesis and a second face adapted for contacting an underside of a muscle, wherein at least a portion of the second face includes a bulbous surface adapted to alter a wrapping angle of the muscle around the lateral tuberosity, and wherein the second face has a radius of curvature selected from one of a constant radius of curvature or a variable radius of curvature.
Hip joint method
A surgical or arthroscopic method for resurfacing at least one surface of a hip joint of a human patient, using a medical device comprising an artificial hip joint surface, wherein the hip joint surface comprising an acetabulum surface and a caput femur surface, said method comprising the steps of: creating at least one hole passing into the hip joint, dissecting and preparing the hip joint, introducing at least one artificial hip joint surface, comprising at least one of an artificial acetabulum surface and an artificial caput femur surface, wherein said at least one artificial hip joint surface, comprising a first sealing member, creating a sealed hollow space between said first sealing member and one of the acetabulum surface or said artificial acetabulum surface and one of the caput femur surface or said artificial caput femur surface, selecting at least one artificial hip joint surface and injecting a material into said hollow space.
Intervertebral implant and method of use
An implant and method for fusing adjacent spinal vertebrae is disclosed. In an embodiment for a spinal implant of the present invention, the implant includes a spacer body assembly and two retention members. The two retention members each include split fork tangs wherein the tangs of each retention member are simultaneously extendable from the spacer body assembly into the adjacent vertebra. A method of fusing adjacent vertebrae includes the step of inserting an implant between adjacent vertebrae with retention members. The method also includes the step of configuring the retention members wherein a portion of each tang of a retention member simultaneously extends from the implant into one of the adjacent vertebra.
Expandable intervertebral implant
An implant including first and second end plates, each of which defines at least one anterior ramped surface and at least one posterior ramped surface. A posterior actuator is positioned between the first and second end plates and has guiding ramp surfaces which correspond with the posterior ramped surfaces. An anterior actuator is positioned between the first and second end plates and guiding ramp surfaces which correspond with the anterior ramped surfaces. An actuator assembly extends between the posterior actuator and the anterior actuator and is configured to selectively move the posterior actuator and the anterior actuator simultaneously, move posterior actuator independently of the anterior actuator, or move the anterior actuator independently of the posterior actuator.
Augment and means for connecting the same to a joint prosthesis
An orthopedic system includes an augment that includes a proximal surface and a distal surface, a recessed slot extending along the distal surface, and a through-bore extending between the proximal and distal surfaces and intersecting the slot. The system also includes a coupling component that includes a head and a body. The head has an aperture and is configured to be slidingly received by the recessed slot wherein, when the head is received within the recessed slot, the aperture aligns with the through-bore. The system further includes a femoral prosthesis that has an articular side that defines condylar portions and a bone facing side opposite the articular side. The bone facing side defines a coupling bore. The coupling bore is configured to receive the body of the coupling component for connection thereto.
SPINAL FIXATION DEVICES AND METHODS OF USE
Placement apparatus and methods of use for impanation of spacers within an inter-vertebral disc space. In one embodiment, the load-bearing superstructure of the implant is subdivided and the bone forming material is positioned within an internal space of the placement instrument but external to the load bearing elements themselves. At least a portion of the bone graft material is freely contained within the disc space. A method of using the device is also described. In one embodiment, the placement device is used to place the implantable spacers at opposing ends of the disc space using a directly lateral surgical approach.
Implantable systems, devices and related methods
The present application is generally directed to implantable systems, devices and related methods pertaining to spinal surgery. In particular, the present application discloses a frame and spacer system for inserting into a disc space. The frame and spacer system is of low profile. The frame can receive different fixation devices, including threaded and non-threaded fixation devices.
Expandable interbodies and related methods
The present disclosure relates to expandable interbodies that include superior and inferior shells and a control assembly positioned between and inside of the shells, the control assembly including nested cages operably connected to each other with an adjustment screw. Rotation of the adjustment screw translates the cages relative to each other, which in turn causes the shells to open or expand.
IMPLANT COMPONENT ASSEMBLY
The present disclosure provides an implant component assembly for a joint replacement. The assembly comprises an implant component, the implant component including an interface part for attaching another implant component and an assembly channel. The assembly further comprises an assembly screw for securing the other implant component to the implant component, the assembly screw having a longitudinal axis, a screw head, and a screw shank and being insertable into the assembly channel. A screw retention unit of the assembly is configured for keeping the assembly screw within the assembly channel and allowing rotation of the assembly screw about the longitudinal axis.
ANGLE-EXPANDABLE SPINAL CAGE
Disclosed is an angle-expandable spinal cage including an upper plate and a lower plate disposed to face each other, a frame disposed between the upper plate and the lower plate, the frame having a space formed therein, a block disposed between the upper plate and the lower plate and disposed in front of the frame, and a driving bolt having one end thereof connected to the frame and a remaining end thereof connected to the block. The angle-expandable spinal cage is implanted into an affected area while occupying the minimum angle thereof and to be expanded between vertebral bodies.
