INTERVERTEBRAL CAGE WITH NON-PARALLEL UNDERCUTS
An intervertebral cage structure that comprises a main body having a first surface and a second surface located opposite to the first surface, a first plate disposed on the first surface of the main body, a second plate disposed on the second surface of the main body, and an opening formed at a center portion of the intervertebral cage structure and extending from the first plate to the second plate via the main body, wherein at least one of the first and second plates comprise non-parallel undercut portions.
Stand-alone expandable interbody spinal fusion device with integrated fixation mechanism
A stand-alone expandable interbody spinal fusion device, including a superior component, an inferior component, and an expansion mechanism operatively arranged to displace the superior component relative to the inferior component, the expansion mechanism including a threaded rod including a first end engaged with the superior component and a second end engaged with the inferior component, wherein when the threaded rod is rotated in a first circumferential direction, the superior component is displaced in a first direction relative to the inferior component.
Expandable intervertebral fusion implant
An expandable intervertebral fusion implant, including an inferior component, including a first horizontal member, a first vertical member connected to the first horizontal member, and a first outward facing surface, a superior component hingedly connected to the inferior component, the superior component including a second horizontal member, a second vertical member connected to the second horizontal member, and a second outward facing surface directed away from the first outward facing surface, a first shell hingedly connected to the inferior component, and a first wedging component slidingly arranged between the first shell and the first outward facing surface.
Bellows shaped spinal implant
A bellows shaped spinal implant, comprising an upper plate having an upper opening therethrough, a lower plate having a lower opening therethrough, and aa bellows shaped shell extending between and joining the upper plate and the lower plate. The bellows shaped shell is formed of titanium or an alloy comprising titanium and includes a wall extending continuously therearound that defines a hollow interior in communication with the upper opening and the lower opening. The wall has a thickness in the range of 0.5 mm to 1.0 mm to provide for radiographic imaging through the wall. The wall is angled or curved inwardly or outwardly between the upper plate and the lower plate to provide stiffness that mimics the stiffness properties of a similarly sized polyetheretherketone (PEEK) implant.
ADJUSTABLE INTERBODY FUSION DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE
Interbody fusion devices, interbody fusion device systems, insertion tools, methods for assembling an interbody fusion device, and methods a method for inserting a medical device between two vertebral bodies are disclosed. The interbody fusion device includes a body member with a pivot cylinder, a superior member with a pivot channel that is configured to engage the pivot cylinder, and a movement mechanism for moving the superior member relative to the body member. The interbody fusion device systems may include an interbody fusion device and an insertion tool. Also disclosed is a method of assembling an interbody fusion device. In addition, a method for inserting a medical device between two vertebral bodies in a spine is disclosed.
ELASTICALLY DEFORMABLE FASTENING DEVICE
The invention relates to a fastening device for an implant that is elastically deformable by stress, the length of the device in the unstressed state being less than that of the device in the stressed state, and the diameter of the device in the unstressed state being greater than that of the device in the stressed state, and to a kit comprising it.
Adjustable Spinal Implants, Associated Instruments and Methods
The present disclosure provides adjustable spinal devices, instruments for implanting the spinal devices, methods for adjusting the height and lordosis angles of the spinal devices and methods for implanting such devices. An adjustable spinal fusion device includes an upper plate component having an outer surface for placement against an endplate of a vertebral body and a lower plate component having an outer surface for placement against an endplate of a vertebral body. The device further includes a first translation member configured to move longitudinally relative to the upper and lower plates to adjust a distance between the upper and lower plates and a second translation member configured to move longitudinally relative to the upper and lower plates to adjust an angle between the upper and lower plates.
MONOBLOCK EXPANDABLE INTERBODY IMPLANT
A unibody implant movable between an expanded position and a contracted position is disclosed. The unibody implant may include a unitary expandable body defined by an inferior portion and a superior portion that are connected together. In various embodiments, a set screw may be rotatably supported by the body and configured to move a plug having a first inclined surface facing the distal side. In various embodiments, the set screw may be movable in the longitudinal direction towards the distal side upon rotation of the set screw along the rotation axis, for example. In various embodiments, movement of the set screw urges the plug against the superior portion thereby expanding a vertical distance between the superior and inferior sides of the body. In some embodiments, the plug may include a stabilizing element configured to transfer compressive forces between the superior portion and inferior portion.
IMPLANTABLE NUCLEAR PROSTHESIS
A nuclear disc implant includes an inner fillable enclosure and an outer fillable enclosure. After insertion into a enucleated disc cavity, the inner enclosure is filled with a fluid and the outer fillable enclosure is filled with a curable material. The curable material is allowed to cure and the fluid is removed from the inner enclosure to leave an inner enclosure surrounded by an cured outer enclosure. A reinforcing band may be provided around the nuclear disc implant. An inflation tool to fill the nuclear disc implant is provided.
Expandable intervertebral implant
An implant for therapeutically separating bones of a joint has two endplates each having an opening through the endplate, and at least one ramped surface on a side opposite a bone engaging side. A frame is slideably connected to the endplates to enable the endplates to move relative to each other at an angle with respect to the longitudinal axis of the implant, in sliding connection with the frame. An actuator screw is rotatably connected to the frame. A carriage forms an open area aligned with the openings in the endplates. The openings in the endplates pass through the carriage to form an unimpeded passage from bone to bone of the joint. The carriage has ramps which mate with the ramped surfaces of the endplates, wherein when the carriage is moved by rotation of the actuator screw, the endplates move closer or farther apart.
