BONE FIXATION AND FUSION DEVICE
Disclosed is a bone fusion cage that contains bone graft and is implanted between bones in a skeletal system. The cage bears structural loads that are transmitted through the bones of the skeletal system and at least partially shields the contained bone graft from the structural loads. The cage is configured to provide a secondary load to the bone graft independent of the structural load to promote fusion of the bone graft to adjacent bones.
Assembled vertebral body
The invention relates to an assembled vertebral body used in a cervical reconstruction operation, comprising: an upper connecting element, an artificial vertebral body element and a lower connecting element, wherein the upper connecting element is disposed at an upper part of the artificial vertebral body element, the lower connecting element is disposed at an lower part of the artificial vertebral body element, and wherein the artificial vertebral body element is assembled with the upper connecting element and the lower connecting element, respectively. The invention has the advantages that the artificial vertebral body element is customized in accordance with the characteristics of patients and printed in 3D, and the length of the artificial vertebral body element can be precisely adjusted to adapt to the patient. Since the lower connecting element is standard part, the upper connecting element is standard part or non-standard part, and the artificial vertebral body element is non-standard part, in comparison to the traditional 3D printing which needs to be printed integrally, the adjustable assembled artificial vertebral body can reduce 3D printing materials and reduce the cost of 3D printing, thus reducing medical costs for the patient. The shape of the nested parts of the elements is a non-circular shape, which can resist rotation, so that no relative movement occurs among the three elements of the artificial vertebral body.
Inserter for expanding body tissue
An elongate inserter has a distal end releasably connected to an expandable device for expanding body tissue and a proximal end including a trigger actuator. The expandable device comprises a superior endplate and an inferior endplate that are movable in an expansion direction relative to each other between opposing tissue surfaces of a body. The inserter includes a lifting platform comprising ramp surfaces that upon operation of the trigger actuator cooperatively engage complementary surfaces of expansion structure within the device to cause the superior and inferior endplates to move relatively away from each other. A driver is supported by the inserter for pushing an insert between the superior and inferior endplates after expansion of the device.
IMPLANT HAVING A SHAFT COATED WITH A WEB STRUCTURE
In various embodiments, an implant for interfacing with a bone structure includes a web structure including a space truss. The space truss includes two or more planar truss units having a plurality of struts joined at nodes and the web structure is configured to interface with human bone tissue. In some embodiments, a method is provided that includes accessing an intersomatic space and inserting an implant into the intersomatic space. The implant includes a web structure including a space truss. The space truss includes two or more planar truss units having a plurality of struts joined at nodes and the web structure is configured to interface with human bone tissue.
Spinal complex cage
Disclosed is a spinal complex cage, which includes a cage which is made of a polymeric material, and metal covers which are formed on upper and lower portions of the cage, respectively, in which couplers formed on the metal covers are coupled to coupling grooves formed in the cage, such that the metal covers are detachably coupled to the upper and lower portions of the cage. Accordingly, because the cage and the metal cover are detachably coupled to each other, the manufacturing method is simple, and the metal cover is easily coupled to or separated from the cage, such that the spinal complex cage may be variously and quickly applied even during the surgery in accordance with shapes or intervals between the vertebral bodies, and as a result, a spinal fusion rate is excellent, and the accurate and precise surgical operation is enabled.
VERTEBRAL JOINT IMPLANTS AND DELIVERY TOOLS
A spinal joint distraction system for treating a facet joint including articular surfaces having a contour is disclosed and may include a delivery device including a generally tubular structure adapted to engage a facet joint, an implant adapted to be delivered through the delivery device and into the facet joint, the implant comprising two members arranged in opposed position, and an implant distractor comprising a generally elongate member adapted to advance between the two members of the implant causing separation of the members and distraction of the facet joint, wherein the implant is adapted to conform to the shape of the implant distractor and/or the articular surfaces of the facet upon being delivered to the facet joint. Several embodiments of a system, several embodiments of an implant, and several methods are disclosed including a method for interbody fusion.

Several embodiments of a system, several embodiments of an implant, and several methods are disclosed including a method for interbody fusion.
Kit for building a cage for spondylodesis and method therefor
A modular kit and/or method buildings a cage for spondylodesis, wherein the kit and/or method comprises at least two plates, wherein the plates comprise a biocompatible material and each comprise a planar structure and a plurality of pins projecting from the planar structure of the plates, wherein the pins each comprise at least one latching element, wherein the pins are elastically deformable and are arranged sufficiently close to each other on the planar structure such that pressing planar structures studded with pins of several plates onto each other causes the latching elements of different plates to snap into each other, wherein at least two of the at least two plates comprise a recess with a diameter of at least 5 mm.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR IMPLANTING AN INTERBODY DEVICE
An interbody implant comprises one or more elongate members that have superior and inferior surfaces with a height, and medial and lateral surfaces having a width. The height is set so the implant fits into the intervertebral space. The width is less than the height. The interbody implant has a first configuration, a second configuration, and a third configuration. The interbody implant is inserted into the intervertebral space in the first configuration such that medial and lateral surfaces contact the vertebral bodies, and the interbody implant is then actuated into the second configuration such that superior and inferior surfaces engage the vertebral bodies. Actuation of the implant from the first configuration to the second configuration distracts the vertebral bodies. The implant is actuated into the third configuration where the width of the implant is greater than width of the implant in the first or the second configuration.
