FLEXIBLE ANCHORING AND FUSION DEVICES AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME
20220354661 · 2022-11-10 ·

A spacer member is provided that is configured to be implanted adjacent an anatomical structure. The spacer member defines a curved bore, a first opening in a side wall of the spacer member and a second opening in one of a top wall and a bottom wall of the spacer member. Each of the first opening and the second opening are in fluid communication with the curved bore. A flexible anchoring member is configured to be inserted through the side opening and through the curved bore of the spacer member such that a distal end portion of the flexible anchoring member extends out of the second opening at an angle relative to the one of the top wall and the bottom wall of the spacer member.

INTERBODY SPACER FOR SPINAL FUSION
20220346958 · 2022-11-03 ·

An interbody spacer for spinal fusion surgery includes first and second opposite side walls that have open-cell metal foam at upper and lower faces, and a three-dimensional lattice disposed between open-cell metal foam at the upper and lower faces. The open-cell metal foam is in communication with the three-dimensional lattice so that bone growth can enter the three-dimensional lattice from the open-cell metal foam. The interbody spacer may be formed by additive manufacturing.

TOTAL WRIST PROSTHESIS AND RELATED METHODS

Improved bone plate systems are described herein. In some instances, a bone plate system can include a base plate, at least one retainer plate, and at least one spacer. The at least one retainer plate is configured to reside on the base plate in a free floating manner and can receive at least one fastener to secure the retainer plate to the at least one spacer, thereby providing a plate system that attaches to a spacer. In other instances, a bone plate system can include a base plate having one or more push plates that can engage at least one spacer.

Intramedullary nail and method of use

A device is provided including a distal nail portion and a proximal nail portion that can be connected to each other to attain a rigid configuration. The device is to be placed internally within the medullary cavities of bones. The device is placed intramedullarily in order to minimize incision size, excessive bone resection and post-operative tendon damage and tenderness. Additionally, one particular method for using the device is provided that includes placing and affixing the distal nail in bone, placing the proximal nail in bone, connecting the distal nail to the proximal nail, doing the desired geometrical adjustments, affixing the proximal nail to the distal nail by tightening the connection and affixing the proximal nail to attain a rigid configuration.

Sacroiliac joint implant system

Accordingly, a broad object of the invention can be to provide an inventive implant to facilitate stabilization while allowing an amount of motion of a sacroiliac joint. Embodiments of the sacroiliac joint implant can provide an elongate body, which can further include at least one fixation member, or a pair of fixation members which extend a distance outward from the longitudinal axis of the implant body adapted for non-transverse placement between the articular surfaces of the sacroiliac joint, and as to certain embodiments can further provide a third fixation member and additionally a fourth fixation member each adapted to extend a distance outward from the elongate body into the bone of the sacrum or the ilium.

Glenoid vault fixation

A system is provided which includes an articulating component, a post, a reception member and a bone engaging member. The articulating component includes an articulating surface and a second surface opposite the articulating surface. The post is disposed below the second surface. The reception member is configured to receive the post. The bone engaging member is configured to be embedded in a bone, wherein the bone engaging member is configured to receive the reception member. The reception member includes a reception member inside surface, wherein the reception member inside surface faces the post when the post is received by the reception member. A first portion of the reception member inside surface defines a tapered configuration and the reception member inside surface comprises at least one ratchet interface.

Intervertebral implant

An adjustable spinal fusion intervertebral implant including upper and lower body portions each having proximal and distal surfaces at proximal and distal ends thereof. The implant can include a proximal wedge member disposed at the proximal ends of the respective ones of the upper and lower body portions, and a distal wedge member disposed at the distal ends of the respective ones of the upper and lower body portions. First and second linkages can connect the upper and lower body portions. Rotation of an actuator shaft can cause the distal and proximal wedge members to be drawn together such that longitudinal movement of the distal wedge member against the distal surfaces and the longitudinal movement of the proximal wedge member against the proximal surfaces causes separation of the upper and lower body portions.

Lateral access system and method of use

A surgical access device including a frame, first and second supports, and first and second retractor blades releasably coupled with the first and second supports, respectively. The frame has first and second arms. The first support is releasably coupled with the first and second arms. The second support is slidably mounted on the first and second arms. The second support is movable between a first position with the retractor blades in close cooperative position and a spaced apart position with respect to the first support. The first and second retractor blades each have a distal end portion configured and adapted to engage a vertebral body. In one method of use, the retractor is inserted through an incision in first orientation with the blades in close approximation and rotated approximately 90°, before spreading the retractor blades to retract tissue.
