Glenoidal component, set of such components and shoulder prosthesis incorporating such a glenoidal component
This glenoidal component for a shoulder prosthesis comprises a base which may be immobilized on the glenoid cavity of a shoulder, and an element provided to be mounted on this base and forming a convex surface of articulation centred on an axis of symmetry. This axis of symmetry is non perpendicular to a rear face of the base intended to abut against the glenoid cavity, this making it possible to compensate a defect in parallelism between the resectioned surface of the glenoid cavity and the axis of the patient's spinal column. A surgeon can select the component in which the axes of symmetry of the components are oriented differently with respect to their rear faces.
IMPLANT COMPONENT ASSEMBLY
The present disclosure provides an implant component assembly for a joint replacement. The assembly comprises an implant component, the implant component including an interface part for attaching another implant component and an assembly channel. The assembly further comprises an assembly screw for securing the other implant component to the implant component, the assembly screw having a longitudinal axis, a screw head, and a screw shank and being insertable into the assembly channel. A screw retention unit of the assembly is configured for keeping the assembly screw within the assembly channel and allowing rotation of the assembly screw about the longitudinal axis.
Zero-profile interbody spacer and coupled plate assembly
An implant for insertion into a disc space between vertebrae, wherein the implant includes a spacer portion, a plate portion coupled to the spacer portion, two bone fixation elements for engaging the vertebrae and a retention mechanism for preventing the bone fixation elements from postoperatively backing-out of the plate portion. The retention mechanism may be in the form of a spring biased snapper element that is biased into communication with the bone fixation elements so that once the bone fixation element advances past the snapper element, the snapper element is biased back to its initial position in which the snapper element interfaces with the bone fixation elements. Alternatively, the retention mechanism may be in the form of a propeller rotatable between a first position in which the bone fixation elements are insertable to a second position where the bone fixation elements are prevented from backing-out.
Zero profile spinal fusion cage
An interbody fusion cage having upper and lower canals for receiving the heads of bone screws that have been pre-installed in opposing vertebral body endplates. The proximal wall of the cage preferably has a vertical slot that communicates with each canal and is adapted to allow access by a screwdriver and tightening of the screws.
Spinal implant system and method
A spinal implant includes a body having opposite first and second end walls and opposite first and second side walls. The side walls each extend from the first end wall to the second end wall. A first cap is coupled to top ends of the walls. A second cap is coupled to bottom ends of the walls. The implant includes an opening extending through the caps such that the first cap defines a first ledge extending from the walls to the opening and the second cap defines a second ledge extending from the walls to the opening. Systems and methods of use are disclosed.
SHOULDER IMPLANTS AND METHODS OF USE AND ASSEMBLY
An implant is disclosed that a base member configured to be secured in bone, the base member includes a plate portion, an articulating member, and a coupling portion for securing the base member to the articulating member. A stem extends from the plate portion, where the stem is positioned offset from a center of the plate portion. The coupling portion includes a first fixation component, and a second fixation component including an opening for receiving the first fixation component, where the first fixation component is coupled to the articulating member and the second fixation component is coupled to the base member.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR LESS INVASIVE GLENOID REPLACEMENT
The invention relates to a glenoid (shoulder socket) implant prosthesis, a humeral implant prosthesis, devices for implanting glenoid and humeral implant prostheses, and less invasive methods of their use for the treatment of an injured or damaged shoulder.
CERVICAL IMPLANT SYSTEMS
The present invention provides cervical implant (30) comprising an upper surface (38), a lower surface (40), a posterior portion (34) and an anterior portion (36) and including a perimeter (42) and one or more apertures (44,46) within said anterior portion for receiving securing means, said apertures having respective longitudinal axes M1, M2, characterised in that said axes extend in a direction substantially through said anterior portion (36) and converge at a point in a plane outside of said perimeter (42).
Stemless shoulder implant with fixation components
An implant assembly may include a first component having a proximal plate and a distal portion extending from the proximal plate, a first screw of a first type, and a first screw of a second type. The proximal plate may have a proximal face, a distal face configured to abut bone, and a periphery. The proximal plate may define a plurality of apertures. An opening may be defined by the proximal plate and extend through the distal portion. Each of the plurality of apertures may be disposed between the opening and the periphery. The first screw of the first type may be sized and configured to be received in the opening and engage bone. The first screw of the second type may be sized and configured to be received in at least one of the plurality of apertures.
COUPLING SYSTEM OF THE COMPONENTS OF A SHOULDER JOINT PROSTHESIS
A coupling system between the parts in a prosthesis for the articulation of the shoulder comprising a metal support (11), a pin element (12), a cylindrical bush (20) and a glenosphere or hemispherical element (22) which are consecutively coupled in the sequence listed above, in addition to reciprocal constraint elements, wherein said metal support (11) and said pin element (12) are constrained with an interposed conical coupling (13,14), said pin element (12) provides a central pass-through hole and externally, at one end opposite to that of coupling with the metal support (11), it has a cylindrical section (15) with a knurled surface, said pin element (12) provides that said pass-through hole comprises a threaded portion (17), said cylindrical bush (20) is externally provided with a threading (21) complementary to the threaded section (17) of the pin element (12), said glenosphere or hemispherical element (22) comprises an axial pass-through hole (24) which on one side has an internal seat (23) with an enlarged diameter provided with knurling complementary to the section (15) with a knurled surface of the pin element (12), said reciprocal constraint elements comprising at least one safety screw (23, 123).
