System for operating modes for an electric toothbrush
Various operational mode arrangements of an electric toothbrush (10) include pre-programming a controller portion (16) of the electric toothbrush such that a single brushing event of approximately two minutes comprises automatically at least two different operating modes and specified times for each mode. Another operational mode includes the capability of operating the on/off button (20) of the toothbrush within a specified short time following termination of a normal brushing event to provide the user a specified additional time, e.g. 30 seconds of toothbrush action. A special toothbrush interface arrangement includes a display (80) which encourages children to maintain brushing for the full brushing period. This is accomplished through sequential illustration of the progress of an article from an initial state to a final desired state as the toothbrush is used for increasing portions of a full brushing time period. In another embodiment, a toothbrush (120) includes a capability of adjusting the performance/operating characteristics in accordance with the age of a child user.
Hairbrush with Fiber Optic Lights
A hairbrush having illuminating elements includes a brush portion and a handle portion, with a brush panel supported in an aperture of the brush portion. The brush panel has an interior side facing a hollow interior region of the hairbrush and an exterior side facing away from the interior region of the hairbrush. A fiber-optic bundle comprising a plurality of fiber-optic fibers extends from a bound end thereof, through the brush panel, and from the exterior side of the brush panel. Portions of the fiber-optic fibers extending from the exterior side of the brush panel serve as fiber-optic bristles. A light-emitting element is disposed within the hairbrush. The light-emitting element is configured for emitting light when activated. Circuitry is provided for activating the light-emitting element to emit light that is received by the bound end of the fiber-optic bundle and emitted by the fiber-optic bristles.
TOOTHBRUSH WITH PARTIALLY COATED SURFACE
The toothbrush has a handle, a neck and a head. In the handle there is a first hard component which has a metallic covering. At least in regions, the metallic covering has a covering of a second hard component.
ORAL CARE IMPLEMENT
An oral care implement having a body that includes a head portion and a handle portion. At least one bristle is mounted to the head portion. The at least one bristle may include an oral care feature. The body may include a core component and a sheath component. The core component may include a structural feature that corresponds to or is representative of the oral care feature of the at least one bristle. The core component may be visible through the sheath component.
TOOTHBRUSH AND TOOTHBRUSH SET
A toothbrush includes a toothbrush head including a brush portion having bristles, a toothbrush handle having an end connected to the toothbrush head, and an attention-inducing member having a detachable portion detachably provided at the other end of the toothbrush handle and an image portion extending from the detachable portion and having a character embodied therein.
Oral care implement
An oral care implement with a gripping portion. The oral care implement is a toothbrush (100) including an elongated body (101) formed of a first material and a handle (104) including a proximal gripping portion (114) and a distal neck portion (115) supporting a head (102) containing a plurality of tooth cleaning elements (108). A longitudinally elongated through slot (130) is formed in the gripping portion (114) of the handle (104) which extends transversely between front and rear exposed surfaces (112) of the handle (104). A second material which is elastomeric is disposed in the slot (130). A longitudinally elongated depression (120) having a transversely concave profile is formed in the rear exposed surfaces (112) of the handle (104) which communicates with the slot (130). The second material extends at least partially in the depression (120).
TOUCH-CONTROL FLASHING TOOTHBRUSH
A touch-control flashing toothbrush comprises a hollow brush handle and a control circuit board. The hollow brush handle has a brush head at one end and a light-permeable handle member at another end. The control circuit board is arranged inside the hollow brush handle and includes a control circuit electrically connected with a light emitting element, two electric-conduction contacts, and a battery assembly. The battery assembly supplies power to the other elements. The electric-conduction contacts are exposed on the surface of the hollow brush handle. Once two electric-conduction contacts are touched simultaneously, voltage of the battery assembly is conducted to the control circuit. Then, the control circuit controls the light emitting element to emit light projecting to exterior through the light-permeable handle member. The touch-control flashing toothbrush is triggered to emit light by touch, interesting children and encouraging them to keep oral health.
ORAL HYGIENE INSTRUMENT AND METHOD
An oral hygiene instrument that includes a flossing member and a brushing member at opposite ends of an elongated handle member. An oral hygiene substance, such as xylitol, may be applied to a flossing filament of the flossing member and bristles of the brushing member. The oral hygiene instrument may include one or more coupling mechanisms at one or both of the ends of the elongated handle member to selectively engage one or both of the flossing member and the brushing member. The oral hygiene instrument may also include one or more digit placement pads that promote a positioning of an oral hygiene instrument within a user's hand that is useful for flossing and brushing a user's teeth. These digit placement pads may indicate a proper sequence of flossing and brushing a user's teeth.
Toothbrush with partially coated surface
The toothbrush has a handle, a neck and a head. In the handle there is a first hard component which has a metallic covering. At least in regions, the metallic covering has a covering of a second hard component.
Personal cleaning kit
A personal cleaning kit for including a set of body scrubbing members includes a handle being elongated to facilitate reaching distal areas of a user relative to the hand of the user. The handle has a near end and a far end relative to the user. A circular brush is coupled to the far end and a loop is coupled to the near end. The loop couples to a hook. A back scrubber is positioned to a wall of a shower to facilitate washing a back of the user and a foot scrubber is positioned to a floor of the shower to facilitate washing a foot of the user.
