Modular acetabular surgical implant assembly
An orthopaedic prosthetic system includes a plate having one or more flanges and an acetabular shell component. Each flange includes a surface configured to engage a patient's bone. The plate also includes a central ring that engages a lip extending from an outer surface of the shell component. The ring may be mechanically attached to the lip using multiple fasteners. The system may include multiple plates each having a different configuration from other plates, and may also include multiple shell components each having a different configuration from other shell components. Methods for assembling and using the prosthetic system are also disclosed.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR JOINT REPLACEMENT
A joint replacement device is provided that includes an inner surface configured to accommodate at least one of a portion of an outer surface of a femoral head of a femur and a prosthetic secured to the femoral head, an outer surface configured to accommodate at least one of a portion of an outer surface of an acetabulum socket and a prosthetic secured to a pelvis, wherein the inner surface and outer surface each have a circular curvilinear shape and together include an inner perimeter and an outer perimeter, and wherein the inner perimeter is joined to the outer perimeter to form a posterior limb and an anterior limb, and further including, a posterior portion, an anterior portion, and a superior portion formed from the inner surface and the outer surface; wherein the superior portion further includes a posterior superior portion and an anterior superior portion.
Hip arthroplasty implants
An acetabular implant for hip arthroplasty includes an acetabular shell to be attached to an acetabulum. The acetabular shell includes an inner surface defining a shell cavity and having a tapered shell section. The acetabular shell includes a tool interlocking structure that mates with a shell insertion tool to inhibit rotation relative to the shell insertion tool. The acetabular shell includes a snap-fit receiver. An acetabular liner is sized and shaped to be disposed in the shell cavity of the acetabular shell. The acetabular liner including an outer surface having a tapered liner section corresponding to the taper of the tapered shell section and engages the tapered shell section to inhibit movement of the acetabular liner relative to the acetabular shell. The acetabular liner includes a snap-fit retainer received by the snap-fit receiver of the acetabular shell to form a snap-fit connection between the acetabular liner and the acetabular shell.
Buffer for femoral head and neck excision
An apparatus for the treatment of canine or other animal hip pathologies, the apparatus (200) comprising a buffer (210) adapted to be disposed between a femur (10) and a hip socket (25), and a fixing means (250) adapted to fix the buffer to the femur.

Hip arthroplasty implants
Apparatus and method of removing a liner attached to an implanted acetabular shell. A surgical site is accessed where the acetabular shell has already been implanted into a patient. A rim plate having a through opening is placed over the acetabular shell. A pilot hole is then drilled into the attached liner through the opening in the placed rim plate. After the drilling, the rim plate is removed to expose the drilled hole. A removal tool is inserted into the drilled pilot hole. The attached liner is then disengaged from the implanted acetabular shell with the inserted removal tool.
BUFFER FOR FEMORAL HEAD AND NECK EXCISION
An apparatus for the treatment of canine or other animal hip pathologies, the apparatus comprising a buffer adapted to be disposed between a femur and a hip socket, and a fixing means adapted to fix the buffer to the femur.
HIP ARTHROPLASTY IMPLANTS
An acetabular implant for hip arthroplasty includes an acetabular shell to be attached to an acetabulum.
NON-IMPINGING DUAL MOBILITY HIP PROSTHESIS
Dual mobility hip prosthesis has a liner rim that recessed with respect to an acetabular cup rim thereof so that an adjacent contact surface of the neck impinges the acetabular cup rim at extreme positions without impinging the liner rim. Furthermore, the acetabular cup rim defines an inner contact face correspondingly angled to the adjacent contact surface of the neck at the extreme positions to reduce point contact loading between the acetabular cup rim and the adjacent contact surface of the neck. As such the present prosthesis tolerates prosthetic impingement between the rim of the acetabular cup and the neck of the femoral component by mitigating against point contact loading force whilst eliminating impingement of edges of the polymeric liner between an edge of the neck and the rim of the acetabular cup and also allowing for sufficiently deep acetabular componentry with reduced likelihood of dislocation.
