A system and method for allowing any surgeon, including those surgeons who perform a fewer number of a replacement procedure as compared to a more experienced surgeon who performs a greater number of procedures, to provide an improved likelihood of a favorable outcome approaching, if not exceeding, a likelihood of a favorable outcome as performed by a very experienced surgeon with the replacement procedure, including installation and orientation of a prosthesis into tissue of a patient as well as construction of a prosthetic assembly to be installed into such tissue.

BONE GRAFT DELIVERY SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USING SAME
A bone graft delivery system and method for using same to deliver graft material into a surgical site. The method includes the steps of providing a hollow tube configured to receive the graft material, releasably attaching an implant to a distal end of the hollow tube so as to communicate with at least one opening in the distal end of the hollow tube, the implant being configured to receive the graft material delivered through the hollow tube; placing the implant within the surgical site; advancing the graft material through the hollow tube; conveying graft material through the hollow tube into an interior of the implant, whereby the implant is at least substantially filled with the graft material; and discharging the graft material through at least one opening in the implant into the surgical site, whereby the surgical site is at least substantially filled with the graft material.
SPINAL IMPLANT SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method for treating a spine includes the steps of: creating a surgical pathway in a body along a first surgical approach to a surgical site including vertebral tissue; creating a surgical pathway in the body along a second surgical approach to the surgical site including the vertebral tissue; disposing a fulcrum with an intervertebral disc space of the vertebral tissue via the first surgical approach; and manipulating the vertebral tissue via the second surgical approach. Spinal implants, surgical instruments and systems are disclosed.
Hydropneumatic artificial intervertebral disc
An artificial intervertebral disc (IVD) is provided for replacement of a degenerated intervertebral disc. The artificial IVD includes two endplates having oppositely-facing outward surfaces configured to engage respective intervertebral surfaces of the spinal column, and a chamber, which is disposed between oppositely-facing inner surfaces of the two endplates, and which includes a lateral wall including an electroosmotic membrane. A plurality of exposed electrode surface includes (i) one or more intra-chamber exposed electrode surfaces, which are located within the chamber; and (ii) one or more extra-chamber exposed electrode surfaces, which are located outside the chamber, in a vicinity of the chamber. Control circuitry is configured to drive at least one of the one or more intra-chamber exposed electrode surfaces and at least one of the one or more extra-chamber exposed electrode surfaces to electroosmotically drive liquid from outside the chamber to inside the chamber. INTERBODY FUSION DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS
According to some embodiments, a method of inserting a lateral implant within an intervertebral space defined between an upper vertebral member and a lower vertebral member includes creating a lateral passage through a subject in order to provide minimally invasive access to the intervertebral space, at least partially clearing out native tissue of the subject within and/or near the intervertebral space, positioning a base plate within the intervertebral space, wherein the base plate comprise an upper base plate and a lower base plate and advancing an implant between the upper base plate and the lower base plate so that the implant is urged into the intervertebral space and the upper vertebral member is distracted relative to the lower vertebral member.
Bone graft delivery system and method for using same
The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for near-simultaneous and integrated delivery of bone graft material during the placement of surgical cages or other medical implants in a patient's spine. The integrated fusion cage and graft delivery device according to various embodiments delivers and disperses biologic material through a fusion cage to a disc space and, without withdrawal from the surgical site, may selectively detach the fusion cage for deposit to the same disc space. The integrated fusion cage and graft delivery device is formed such that a hollow tube and plunger selectively and controllably place bone graft material and a fusion cage in or adjacent to the bone graft receiving area. In one embodiment, the integrated fusion cage is an expandable integrated fusion cage.

Force sensing is included to aid in quantifying installation of an implant, particularly a cup into a pelvic bone.
