11213416 · 2022-01-04 ·

An appendage brace assembly includes an openwork including an open proximal extremity, a distal extremity, and a volume therebetween. The openwork is stiff and jointless, and defines access points to the volume from proximate to the open proximal extremity to proximate to the distal extremity for enabling access to the appendage applied to the volume through the open proximal extremity. A restraint is carried by the openwork for restraining the appendage from being withdrawn from the volume through the open proximal extremity, when the restraint is releasably secured to the appendage applied to the volume through the open proximal extremity, and for enabling the appendage for being withdrawn from the volume through the open proximal extremity without interference from the openwork, when the restraint is released from the appendage applied to the volume through the open proximal extremity.

SUSPENSION BOOT

Methods, devices, and systems are described for a foot suspension system configured to offload weight from a foot of a user. The foot suspension system includes a boot shaped to receive at least a part of the foot of the user, the boot including a bottom inner surface. The foot suspension system further includes a sleeve configured to secure to a lower appendage of the user to assist with suspending at least the part of the foot above the bottom inner surface of the boot. The foot suspension system further comprises at least one vertical bar with a first end positioned adjacent to the boot and a second end of the at least one vertical bar positioned

Modular knee brace assembly
11771577 · 2023-10-03 · ·

A modular knee brace assembly includes a brace that is worn around a knee after orthopedic surgery has been performed on the knee. A wedge is removably coupled to the brace when the brace is worn around the knee. The wedge is positioned on a back side of the knee to support the knee in a bent position when the user is lying on the user's back. An inner knee support is removably coupled to the brace when the brace is worn around the knee. The inner knee support extends between each of the user's knees when the user lies on their side. An outer knee support is removably coupled to the brace when the brace is worn around the knee. In this way the outer knee support supports the knee when the user lies on the user's side.

ORTHOSIS SYSTEM

Disclosed is an orthosis device particularly well-suited for use in the field. The orthosis system includes a tibial cuff, at least one strut, an optional off-loading cuff, and a foot plate. The struts connect the tibial cuff to the footplate. Optional couplers may be used to facilitate these connections and may be in the form of quick disconnects or cam locks. The footplate may further spring plate having energy return properties to aid mobility. The systems may be modular, is compact, and easily stowed and carried.

A method of splinting limbs of a patient by a single person and an elongated splint device, for use in the method. The splint device has a first track member and second and third elongated riding members movably held and positioned on the first track member. The riding members are freely movable on the first track member along a single longitudinal axis to obtain a proper length for splinting and a releasable locking mechanism is included to maintain the selected length. Two or more adjustable belt elements are removably connected to the riding member and serve to affix the splint device to a patient in a proper splinting position.

SUPPORT STRAP FOR A KNEE IMMOBILIZING SPLINT
20230355419 · 2023-11-09 ·

A support strap for a knee immobilizing splint with a segment along its length to receive the knee of a wearer. The strap has a hook fixed to a first end that engages an upper part of the splint. The other end of the strap has a connection assembly for attaching the strap to a belt of a wearer so the belt and hook are fixed at a certain distance from each other. This distance is such that the splint is held so the knee of the wearer is at the knee segment of the splint and the splint is prevented from sliding down the leg of the wearer while standing or walking.
