Arm sleeve that provides assistance during an arm motion
Implementations of an arm sleeve that provides external assistance to an arm and shoulder of a user during an arm motion are provided. In one implementation, the arm sleeve comprises a framework that includes a torso portion configured to be attached to the torso of the user and an arm portion configured to receive at least a portion of the arm of the user. The framework of the arm sleeve is a unitary construction of interconnected elastic members that define openings therebetween. The interconnected elastic members include a first elastic member configured to play an active part throughout an overhead throwing motion, a second elastic member configured to decrease the concentric contraction force necessary for shoulder abduction during the cocking phase of a throwing motion, and a third elastic member configured to assist eccentrically contracting muscles during the deceleration phase of a throwing motion. In another implementation, the framework of the arm sleeve is encased by an elastomeric cover.

Anatomical brace for dynamically stabilizing the elbow
An anatomical brace for dynamically stabilizing the elbow during elbow articulation, the anatomical brace comprising: a brace body comprising a distal portion for fitting over the forearm of a user and a proximal portion for fitting over the upper arm of a user; a hinge mechanism comprising a distal segment, a proximal segment and a pivot for pivotally connecting the distal segment and the proximal segment, the distal segment of the hinge mechanism being mounted to the distal portion of the brace body and the proximal segment of the hinge mechanism being mounted to the proximal portion of the brace body; a pivot cable guide mounted to the anterior portion of the pivot; an upper arm cable guide mounted to at least one of the proximal segment of the hinge mechanism and the proximal portion of the brace body, the upper arm cable guide being configured to change the direction of a cable extending through the upper arm cable guide; an ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) cable guide mounted to the brace body and configured to direct a cable extending through the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) cable guide over the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) and toward the distal portion of the brace body; and a cable having a first end and a second end; the first end of the cable being mounted to the distal segment of the hinge mechanism, the second end of the cable being mounted to the distal portion of the brace body, and the cable being routed proximally along the distal segment of the hinge mechanism, through the pivot cable guide, proximally along the proximal segment of the hinge mechanism, through the upper arm cable guide, and through the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) cable guide; wherein, when the anatomical brace is mounted to the arm of a user so that the distal portion of the brace body is secured to the forearm of the user, and the proximal portion of the brace body is secured to the upper arm of the user, and when the elbow thereafter moves to full extension, the cable is tensioned, whereby to apply a force to the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) of the user, and when the elbow thereafter moves to full flexion, the cable is relaxed, so that the force applied to the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) is released.
EASILY FORMED ARM EXTERNAL FIXING BRACE
An arm external fixing brace (10), characterized by a thickness (H) of an edge of a mesh panel (12) thereof being greater than a thickness (B) of a central location. Selectively, raw materials of the mesh panel (12) being, according to weight: 60-78% PCL: 20-38% EVA; 2-20% inorganic filler; a thickness of an edge of a large ventilation hole of the mesh panel (12) being less than a thickness between the centers of two adjacent large ventilation holes: multiple fastening substrates (300) being pre-embedded at adjacent horizontal edge locations of the mesh panel (12); two wings of a fastening substrate (300) being provided with side holes (305), two sides of a middle part of a fastening substrate (300) being provided with grooves (302, 303) having symmetrical structures, the middle part of a fastening substrate (300) being provided with a middle hole (304), and a non-return surface (301) being provided at two sides of a circumference of the middle hole (304) inside the grooves (302, 303); two sides of a thumb hole (15) of the mesh panel (12) being tapered surfaces having symmetrical structures. The arm external fixing brace has few components, but simultaneously can prevent adhesion during a molding process so as to facilitate removal from a mold, make clinical operation convenient, and be comfortable to wear, metrics which were previously in conflict with one another.
Medical splint
A compact, lightweight, portable, foldable, multi-purpose, multi-functional, medical splint, primarily to use in emergency and/or remote situations to effectively provide quick, easy, and rigid immobilization to a person's limbs.
Appendage brace assembly
An appendage brace assembly includes an openwork including an open proximal extremity, a distal extremity, and a volume therebetween. The openwork is stiff and jointless, and defines access points to the volume from proximate to the open proximal extremity to proximate to the distal extremity for enabling access to the appendage applied to the volume through the open proximal extremity. A restraint is carried by the openwork for restraining the appendage from being withdrawn from the volume through the open proximal extremity, when the restraint is releasably secured to the appendage applied to the volume through the open proximal extremity, and for enabling the appendage for being withdrawn from the volume through the open proximal extremity without interference from the openwork, when the restraint is released from the appendage applied to the volume through the open proximal extremity.
BLOOD FILTRATION SYSTEMS
A blood filtration system can reduce the amount of plasma constituents (e.g., water and/or electrolytes) in the blood of the patient, and accordingly increase the hematocrit value of the patient. The blood filtration system (e.g., a controller, or the like) can determine a hematocrit value of a patient. The blood filtration system can determine a venous pressure of vasculature of a patient. The blood filtration system can compensate for pressure head in a component of a blood circuit (e.g., a withdrawal line of a catheter), for example to improve the accuracy of the venous pressure determination. The blood filtration system can determine one or more resistance characteristics of a blood circuit for the blood filtration system. The resistance characteristics can correspond to a resistance to a flow of blood through a component of the blood circuit.
