Provided is a multilayer film for a disposable body warmer outer bag, and a disposable body warmer, which are excellent in gas barrier property that inhibits permeation of oxygen gas, water vapor and the like, which can allow swelling due to hydrogen gas generated during a storage period to be prevented, and which are excellent in seal strength, impact resistance and weather resistance. A disposable body warmer outer bag formed from a multilayer film comprising a first barrier layer (10) and a second barrier layer (20), wherein the first barrier layer (10) and the second barrier layer (20) consist of a polyvinylidene chloride layer (12) or a polyvinylidene chloride layer (22) obtained by coating at least one surface (upper portion in FIG. 1) of a heat-resistant resin substrate (11) or a heat-resistant resin substrate (21) with polyvinylidene chloride.
IRON POWDER FOR EXOTHERMIC COMPOSITION, PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR, EXOTHERMIC COMPOSITION USING SAID IRON POWDER, AND EXOTHERMIC BODY PRODUCTION METHOD
An iron powder for an exothermic composition according to the present invention has a bulk density of 0.3 to 1.5 g/cm.sup.3. Furthermore, an exothermic composition according to the present invention contains the iron powder, a carbon material, a halide salt, and water. Furthermore, an exothermic body production method according to the present invention includes: forming a coated member by coating a base material sheet with a flowable exothermic composition containing the iron powder, a carbon material, and water; and adjusting an amount of moisture in the coated member by removing water from the coated member. Furthermore, the present invention is directed to a production method for the iron powder (an iron powder for an exothermic composition) including: a reducing step of reducing iron oxide to obtain reduced iron; and a step of milling the reduced iron. In the reducing step, the iron oxide is reduced by introducing iron oxide and a solid reductant with a volatile matter content of 10% by mass or more into a heating furnace whose internal portion contains no sulfur gas or is set to an air or inert gas atmosphere, and setting the internal portion to a reducing gas atmosphere through heating under a condition that an ambient temperature of the internal portion is from 900 to 1000 C.
HEAT PATCH
A heat patch includes a dressing layer, a release layer, an adherence layer, and a heating layer. The dressing layer is combined with the release layer and the adherence layer. The heating layer is combined with the adherence layer. When the dressing layer is adhered to the user skin, the heating structure of the heating layer generates the heat which is transmitted to the dressing layer for achieving a hot compressing function.
HEAT GENERATOR
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a heat generator that contains a volatile component and in which the volatile component is stably maintained during storage, the volatile component is prevented from adhering to a heat-generating section, and it is possible to achieve an excellent warming effect during use. This heat generator comprises a heat-generating section (1), an accommodation body (2) for accommodating the heat-generating section (1), an adhesive layer (3) provided to an attachment surface side of the accommodation body (2), and a release sheet (4) provided to the attachment surface side of the adhesive layer (3). As a result of including a volatile component in the adhesive layer (3) and respectively providing gas barrier layers (211), (41) to a first packaging material (21) constituting the attachment surface side of the accommodation body (2) and to the release sheet (4), it is possible to stably maintain the volatile component within the adhesive layer (3) during storage. It is thereby possible to prevent the volatile component from adhering to the heat-generating section (1) during storage and to achieve an excellent warming effect during use.
Water absorbent resin powder for heat-generating element composition, and heat-generating element composition
An object of the present invention is to provide a water absorbent resin powder for a heat-generating element composition, which suppresses the generation of the aggregates derived from the water absorbent resin and the adhesion of the water absorbent resin in the production of a heat-generating element composition. A present inventive water absorbent resin powder for a heat-generating element composition includes polyacrylic acid (salt)-based water absorbent resin powder which have a bulk specific gravity (specified by JIS K3362) of 0.630 g/cm.sup.3 or less, fluid retention capacity without load (CRC) for a 0.9% by weight aqueous solution of sodium chloride (specified by ERT441.01-2) of 32.0 g/g or less, a weight-average particle diameter (specified by sieve classification) of 250 ?m or more, and an amount of a residual glycidyl-based crosslinking agent of 10 ppm or less.
Flexible adhesive physio tape with thermal properties
A flexible adhesive kinesiology/physio tape adapted to produce heat from the exothermic oxidation when exposed to air. The inventive tape includes a layer of porous material with iron and salt disposed therein. In the best mode, the layer is flexible and self-adhesive. A layer of plastic is included to inhibit oxidation prior to application and use. In a preferred embodiment, the inventive flexible adhesive tape includes a first layer of flexible adhesive high quality porous fabric; a second layer of flexible adhesive high quality porous fabric; and the layer of flexible exothermic material, sandwiched between the first and second layers. The third layer can be fabricated with cellulose, iron, water, activated carbon, vermiculite and salt or fabricated with a mixture of chemical salt in dry crystal form with water. Or any other chemical mixture that creates an exothermic reaction.
EXOTHERMIC EXPANDABLE COMPOSITIONS
An expandable, exothermic gel-forming composition that is predominately useful in the consumer products and medical industries. More particularly, it relates to the use of expandable particulate exothermic gel-forming compositions with efficient and long-lasting heat production for heating surfaces and objects without the need for electricity or combustible fuel.

An outer bag for disposable body warmer packaging and a disposable body warmer are provided that are excellent in a gas barrier property that inhibits permeation of oxygen gas, water vapor, and the like, which can allow swelling due to hydrogen gas generated during a storage period to be prevented. Provided is an outer bag for disposable body warmer packaging having an accommodating portion accommodating a disposable body warmer accommodated in an air-permeable inner bag and generating heat through contact with air, the outer bag comprising a low air-permeability portion having an oxygen permeability of 1.5 to 20 cc/m.sup.2.Math.day.Math.atm measured at 20? C. and 90% RH and having a water vapor permeability of 0.05 to 10 g/m.sup.2.Math.day measured at 40? C. and 90% RH; and an air-impermeable portion having an oxygen permeability of 1.3 cc/m.sup.2.Math.day.Math.atm or lower measured at 20? C. and 90% RH and a water vapor permeability of 2.0 g/m.sup.2.Math.day or lower measured at 40? C. and 90% RH, wherein a ratio of an area of the low air-permeability portion to a total internal area of the accommodating portion is 15 to 75%.
HEAT GENERATOR
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a heat generator that comprises an adhesive layer containing a volatile component and in which the volatile component is maintained in a stable state during storage, the volatile component is prevented from adhering to a heat-generating section, and it is possible to achieve an excellent warming effect during use. This heat generator comprises: a heat-generating section, an accommodation body that accommodates the heat-generating section and comprises an attachment surface to which an attachment body is attached, an adhesive layer provided to the attachment surface side of the accommodation body, and a release sheet provided to the attachment surface side of the adhesive layer. As a result of including a volatile component in the adhesive layer and providing a metal foil membrane to the release sheet, it is possible to maintain the volatile component in a stable state within the adhesive layer during storage. It is thereby possible to prevent the adhesion of the volatile component to the heat-generating section during storage and to achieve an excellent warming effect during use.
